I recommend using DMC brand, and not the less expensive ones. I ordered another brand in error. The cheaper threads tangle easily and the thickness is inconsistent. When your investing a lot of time in a project, you owe it to yourself to use quality products.

This tangled EVERY time I used it. I embroider often, and use a lot of embroidery floss. I’ve never struggled so much in my life! I wasted half of each strand because I had to keep cutting it from tangles. Ended up throwing it away and buying another brand. Do not recommend if you are using this for embroidery. ... show more

Good quality embroidery thread and reasonably priced used it to finish a picture that did not come with enough thread. Matched perfectly . I usually buy a pinwheel of colors and hang into them for just this reason or if I want to change a color.
