Works as it should. Turns a bit too easily at an angle on the horizontal plane, but it still works. Not only use it to survey my change, but have used it to diagnose and eventually repair (or throw away if I can't) my watch. The issue was easy to see with this where I couldn't see it at all with the naked eye.

I really like this! It's not perfect but for the price it has performed very well. The image is pretty high quality and I can get good detail even on very small PCB parts. There are a lot of small issues though - if you have a large PCB (such as a PC motherboard, for example) it will be impossible to view certain spots due to the fixed mount of the scope. Also weirdly when using my grinding pen I get a nasty rolling shutter effect and can't see the tip of the grinding pen to see where I'm grinding! It looks all wobbly! So yeah, it's a good scope for some hobbyist work but I would not say it's a good replacement for higher - end equipment.

This simply changes how I do the etchings for my scrimshaw work to a wholly greater level! Last night I was struggling with eye and finger coordination to place dots in order to create more detail. My eyes, despite the 3.5x binoculars and headlights, were watering and painful last night. So I checked out the Amazon description of this device, and decided that the price was far and away a bargain, and found that it could even be delivered to me right after breakfast this morning! One minor gripe is the lack of cogent instruction, now seemingly the standard with Chinese goods. Despite that I was happily sailing on following seas by 9:00 am. Nice compact unit stores nicely on my workbench.

Used this with fourth graders to take a closer look at pond macroinvertebrates. The students were highly engaged by the detail they could see, and several students could do observations at the same time. Much better for younger students to have a digital display - when they use regular microscopes you can never be sure what they are actually seeing. Good value for the money.
