  • Best Camera Stabilizer in the Market - Lots of features for the money!!
I've used a lot of camera stabilizers for work. Webill, Crane 2s, and Ronin SC are the ones I'm most familiar with. A fellow enthusiast recommended that I try the RSC2. I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised: Physical Aesthetics: Best in class workmanship - great feel in hand and very balanced. Awesome design! The front pulsator can be assigned to a lot functions, such as pan/tilt rotation, focus motor, and ISO. Controls are placed in the perfect spot where I can reach by moving my finger, just a very convenient spot for everything. Overall fantastic experience and design well done. Additional Positives: The stability, smart functions, and overall performance is legit. Payload is very good. The composition, durability, and reliability are way better than any camera stabilizer that I have used, especially when compared to the Zhiyun Weebill S. Stabilization: The stabilization is much better than the gimbals I've used by supporting medium telephoto. I shot a couple of videos and found that stability is really good. Foldable design: I can shoot from any angle without other accessories. I found a 1/4 threaded port after folding, it’s possible to connect with other accessories. More to come on this. Battery: The claim is that the battery can last for 14 hours. I haven't tested that either....someone get me some coffee if you want me to test this out. However it does support USB-C fast charging so I charge it during lunch breaks and it's suffice to last the rest of the day. (It was completely dead when I charged it over lunch, got me to 50%) Compatibility: I saw comments saying that some latest camera models have problems with the gimbal but I never experienced this myself. Just make sure to download the latest firmware which during the initial set up, I was reminded to do so. All in all, I highly recommend the DJI RSC2 and I'm glad my coworker/fellow enthusiast recommended to me - it's the best gimbal when compared to other models within the same price range. I truly feel this is more of an upgrade to the Ronin S than SC. The performance, functionality, and adaptability is the best in class for this segment and price range. Good luck! ... show more

  • Smooth Footage, Well-Built but Requires Some Getting Used To
I recently got the DJI RSC 2 for my Canon 90D, and the results have been impressive! While it took me a little time to adapt to this gimbal stabilizer compared to my previous cell phone stabilizer, the footage I've been able to capture is nothing short of outstanding. The DJI RSC 2 is well-built and sturdy. It feels robust in the hands and gives the assurance that it's designed to last. However, it's worth mentioning that it's a little on the heavy side. For extended shooting sessions, this might be a factor to consider. One of the key highlights of this gimbal stabilizer is the incredibly smooth footage it produces. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to capture professional-level videos that are free from shakes and jitters. The 3-axis stabilization system really works wonders and makes all the difference in the final product. The learning curve is noticeable, especially if you are transitioning from a simpler stabilizer. I recommend spending some time practicing and familiarizing yourself with the controls and features. Once you do, you'll be able to take full advantage of what the DJI RSC 2 has to offer. In conclusion, the DJI RSC 2 is a valuable addition to any videographer's toolkit. It offers high-quality stabilization and delivers smooth, cinematic footage. The weight and initial learning curve are minor drawbacks but don't overshadow the device's overall performance and capabilities. If you are looking for a serious upgrade to your video production, this is definitely worth considering. ... show more

  • A camera stabilizer that's friendly to new users, cost effective and versatile
The RSC2 is my first camera gimbal. I bought it after doing some research (including reviews from KOLs and users). After shooting with a handheld camera all this time, using the RSC2 is a joy as it's simple enough to use and very functional. Balancing is easy, especially as I need to change cameras and lenses quite often. The double-layer quick-release plates make it convenient to switch cameras, plus the RSC2's foldable design is easy for me to store and adapt to the situation for the best angle. There's a learning curve for me since I haven't used any gimbals in the past. But after watching a couple of Youtube videos about the product I can pride myself in saying that this stabilizer has now become a must-have for me. The Ronin App is also intuitive. Auto-calibration can be done in a snap, and setting parameters is also a breeze. This stabilizer is great for those who want full control of their shooting. Overall, this is a very cost-effective purchase and a great professional stabilizer for new users. I'm personally quite satisfied with the quality of it, and I'll continue to test and use it in the future. will report back! ... show more

  • Excellent gymbal!
Okie dokie, this thing is a beast. I used it with my canon 90D and 70-105 lens. The camera and lens combo is heavy, and attached to this gymbal the whole set up is very heavy, but the gymbal itself isn't that heavy at all- but you know you are holding something extremly well made. I now have guns like "the Rock" after carrying this around for a day with my camera and lens attached, but with a smaller camera/lens combo you would have a hard time even noticing the weight of it. The gymbal is very stable and very easy to use. The whole balancing act is somewhat tough when following the directions given, but I found several youtube videos that demonstrate how to balance everything. After watching those, the instructions made better sense. Once balanced, this is sooooo smooth. The app is very handy, but DJI wants WAY too much info and the user agreements pretty much say DJI has access to your whole life and that of your offspring and distance releatives as well. Read the agreements very carefully before committing to using the app. However, I decided to use the app and the features available do give you quite a bit of extra controls to use. The tripod/handle is such a good design. I set my camera/gymbal up on a gym floor for an indoor drumline event and was able to control the gymbal from the stands to track the movement of the group- so awesome and sooooo stable. On the app they give you the ability to move the camera with a virtual joystick, which is a really great design but you have to be in close proximity to see the camera screen unless you spend extra for their attachment that allows you to view on another device. Battery life: excellent. I shot all day and didn't have to charge the battery. I had to on my camera, but not on the gymbal. Build quality: This thing is built like a tank, but isn't overly heavy. It comes with a base plate that attaches to the camera and mine came with a taller base plate along with a lens support which is pretty handy. It also came with thumb screws that have a little handle so you don't need a screwdriver to tighten the baseplates. When you pick it up, you know you are holding something that is extremly well made. The screen on the handle is very handy, but using the menu system took just a bit of practice to get use to. The packaging: it is packaged pretty well, but when you unfold the gymbal it it is rather tight and at first I wasn't sure I unfolded it correctly. After watching a few vids on the gymbal, one said it was suppose to be hard to unfold so after that I was fine. Just kind of unnerving trying to unfold such an expensive gymbal for the first time. The directions- just eh. I found better info on youtube to set it up. The handle has a joy stick so you can easily control the camera. Only real issue I had with it was that Canon has a flip out screen that you can adjust up and down, only when using the gymbal I found that I couldn't fold the screen out and adjust it so it had to fit stationary on the back of the camera which made for a few issues when shooting outside because of lighting and glare on the screen. Overall, this is an excellent gymbal and every shot was smooth as can be. Only thing I wish it had was a carying case. I highly recommend it, even if you have a heaver camera and lens combo. ... show more

  • Be patient…it’ll eventually work — “ommm … ommm”
Let me start off by saying the materials and “fit/finish” is excellent. But things begin to go downward from there. The #1 culprit and complaint of the system is DJI’s penchant for not labeling the connecting ports of the SC2 in a clearly identifiable, logical and legible way. I’m sorry DJI, but “tiny doesn’t cut it.” Secondly, the “mish-mash” of required connecting cables comes off as some kinda “joke” from a company that positions itself as “high tech.” It’s as though DJI never heard of “plug-and-play.” I don’t want excuses from DJI… I want simplicity and workable solutions. I want this thing to be so easy to set up, that “granny or grandpa” can do it while they’re sitting in their La-Z-Boy recliner. DJI needs to rethink and reimagine gimbal connectivity. Moving on to the unit itself: I’ve got an 18W charger hooked up to the SC2, and the charge rate barely budges. “Wat up wit dat??” 🙄 Now, I do own an Apple 96W charger, but I feel that amount of power shouldn’t be required. Lastly, my preference in using the gimbal is stationary, atop a Manfrotto tripod (with a pan head), with an mounted iPhone and RavenEye transmitter. But I’m here to tell ‘ya, this camera/gimbal/smartphone combo is no lightweight. If I was to carry my Sony A6600 (with a 18-135) and the gimbal, after 5 minutes, I’d be “done.” But enough of my “whining and gesticulating.” The RSC2 is an excellent addition to my stable of photo capturing equipment. It delivers exciting new capabilities and possibilities to the solo photographer once thought of as impossible. ….. and after a few “fits-and-starts”, I think you’ll enjoy it too. ... show more

  • One of the BEST - Absolutely PRO!
Although I followed a lot of reviews on YouTube closely before I resolved into upgrading to the RSC 2 from the Smooth 4. Right now, I geared it up with a few SmartPhones (Galaxy S9 Plus and the 12 Pro) and with the Moment Lens attachment Case, the 18mm Wide Lens, Step Up Ring, FreeWell VND and Saramonic Blink 500 Pro Receiver - very Smart, Rigid, Solid and very ready for everyday Actions - which I know is far more under the carrying weight capacity of the RSC 2 but very much over the carrying capacity of the Smooth 4. In fact, the Smooth 4 just freaks out with that load capacity after it is WARM in about 15mins of Action. I have had a day ruin when the Smooth 4 was already WARM due to the temperature in the carrying bag as a result of the weather and the traffic before I got the where I needed it, putting it on...it freaked out instantly and I had to keep switching it off and on while I shot for about 5 mins Max at each interval. But now, the RSC 2 takes over the PRO job with its Pal, the Mavic Air 2 while I take the Smooth 4 on Vacation rides...am satisfied with my purchase now. ... show more

  • Shaky Footage
Been using this Gimbal for almost two years. Footage is generally shaky, have learned that you cannot move much at all without this thing shaking. Been putting up with it but I'm at my breaking point. Clients have complained about shaky footage but my last shoot was so bad it's almost unusable. Going to take me twice as long as it should just to find shots that aren't horribly shaky. You can see in the video that walking as delicately as I can this stupid thing screwed my footage up worse than if I'd taped my camera to a chicken. I use a Sony a6400 with a zoom lens that's about 4 inches long with the DJI 2 on top. Certainly less than the 6.6lb weight limit. I'm so fed up. I really wish I'd freehanded this job. Looking into the DJi 4 Pro which runs about $900 as a replacement. Worried that it'll be poor as well but I don't have a choice at this point. I have the Mini 3 Pro drone that I love and I like the mics- with the exception of audio cutting out every 60 seconds with the built in record mode- but this gimbal is just failing me so bad. Not sure if it's the age of the device, less than two years, but clearly I'm frustrated. ... show more

  • Not what I was expecting.
When I bought this I was under depression That it would work on my camera but all the functions would not work well that was not the case. So I had to buy a new camera Is new but old I bought the nikon D 5000 it was not cheap even used But all the other cameras were really really expensive And I had to get the Raven Is eye So the gamble would follow me But I didn't know I would have so many problems with both of themDon't get me wrong I love the gamble but It does not work with all the cameras they list It takes me about 30 minutes to set my gamble up with The Raven eye for it just to turn back off I cannot get any of the functions to work the way they're supposed to And now I am regretting buying all of the products that I bought I stayed with the camera that I knew that's why I went with the nikon D 5000 Because I had A nikon D 3100 And most of the functions are the same on it so I knew I could do certain things with it that if I Bought a cannon or something like that I would not know how to use. That's why I stayed with The nikon But now I'm stuck with a lot of money that I spent and and a product that will not work correctly And I am really mad about it. So if you look to buy one of these gambles make sure You do your homework on your camera to make sure it will align and function with this gamble Don't go through the Hell I am in right now. Go through their camera list and call the company and make sure everything will lineup Make sure you have all the cables that you need And make sure it will balance on the Gimble Certain lenses on my nikon will not balance balance on the Gimble And it will almost drive you crazy. The zoom will not work the trigger will not work nothing will work correctly at least in my case. The camera will not follow me And if it does it follows so slowly and so retardedly That if you were doing something action wise it would miss it all. So make sure you do your homework. I've been wanting one of these for a very very long time Now I'm depressed that I have it. ... show more
