If you follow instructions this is super easy to install, you have to use a bit of elbow grease when connecting the magnetic tracks to the top piece but aside from that I found it easy. It only took me about 30 minutes or less to get it put together. It fits just fine as well. If you have a filter where you need to cut around, I suggest putting the final adhesive clips on the last step on either side of that so that it will hold flush on the one back magnets. I feel the quality is just as expected and good value for what you pay, I kept all the leftover pieces for future fixes if needed. My tank is 20 gallon and the width of the mesh was perfect to cover the length of my tank, I just had to measure the width of my tank and trim the mesh to fit that. So super easy. I feel like this will serve its purpose perfectly and I like if you measure it well it looks pretty seamless and nice, not an eye sore which I was worried about. It also does not inhibit my light either which is great. Will update later if it doesn’t stand test of time. For now though, super pleased!

I had recently bought a 40 gallon tank stand that you can fit a 20 gallon tank on the bottom. I measured the tank and decided that it would fit. Lo and behold when I put the stand together, the tank slides in perfectly... Except for the lid. It was a millimeter off and I didn't have any ideas to replace the lid. I have a small corn snake in it so it had to be escape proof. This lid definitely delivered a great seal. It was very difficult to put together, especially putting the last rubber row on the track, but I think my thumbs will forgive me since it came out so night. I was still able to but a light directly on it and put a fogger through the mesh. Now my snake is safe and I'm happy.

When my led light went out on my fish tank cover. I was trying to figure out how to use one of the LED strip lights that goes over the tank. Glad I found this. You just clean and dry off the top. Put the magnetic strip down first, and trim to fit. Then you put the plastic screen cover over the top. Press the snap in pieces. Left, right, back then front, while gently stretching the fabric. Not too tight or it will pop the magnetic strip out of place. Pop the corner pieces on. Then trim out sections for air lines and filter. I cut a section on the front so I can flip it up to feed the fish. I would not trust it to be strong enough to hold a cat above the water, like in one of the photos.

First it was a pain to get on. Second the magnet refuses to stay connected. I had it put together for 10 minutes and it was coming up. It took forever to put together correctly and the instructions were no help. It says it’s pet proof and there’s literally a cat laying on it in one of the pictures. My maybe 5 pound kitten put her two paws on the top of it and fell in. The entire thing has fallen into the tank twice since I put it together over the weekend. The only thing I like is that I can cut it to fit my filters. I will no longer be using this as I have to put a box over top of it since it keeps falling down and isn’t doing it’s job.

I love my little rimless bookshelf tank, but it's a betta d**th-trap - I've lost several little buddies to jumping out. I was so upset, I promised never to get another betta. Until I did. This time, I vowed that I wouldn't let anyone jump and I've kept it sealed with plastic wrap. An effective, if unsightly, solution. Enter this little mesh lid kit. Though it doesn't come with directions, there is a video under the description of the product. This seller believes in you - and so do I! It was so easy, and even though I made some mistakes in cutting, it still works perfectly. I included pictures to show how I dealt with the two lights and a hang-on back filter. The magnetic strip is very powerful and sturdy enough to create a little "bar" in front of the HOB filter. It seems very durable, but will probably wear out in a couple of years. That's why I want to get another kit to have on hand -just in case.

I love this thing, I found the application to be simple and straightforward but I am very handy and mechanically inclined. I made a cutout for my HOB filter and a small cut for an airline tube to run out. It looks sleek and clean, the magnet works perfectly and this fixed my issue I had with my 2.5 gallon tank that had a terrarium screened lid that was accumulating rust due to the surface agaitation from the air stone bubbles breaking at the surface. No more rust and totally customizable! Hey ggoy recommend!

Super difficult to install. The instructions are not easily put as well. The net is good but if you have to install on the side like I did then you'll have a problem feeding the fish. I had to make a small hole. I will be buying something else and trashing this. Not even worth it.

Price wise, I can’t complain much. It was a lid for cheap. 40 gallon breeder tank 36 x 18 x 16. It will still stink if your tank stinks because it’s just mesh. It is very hard to install. Especially if you have ocd like me. I was there for hours trying to pull it tight as possible to avoid any wrinkles. They were almost inevitable. You can’t pull it perfectly flat with just one person. The magnets will fight you like no tomorrow and come bent so they’re hard to iron out flat. And the instructions are so hard to read that it’s like impossible. I had to read them 10 times before I understood what it was asking for me to do because of the lack of clear English. Material and shipping situation is terrible but for the price. It’s ok… the glass version is like 2.5x more $ so is what it is I guess. I just wanted something to stop the stuff inside my cabinets falling in it. It does do that, mostly
