its the best option if your tank has a lot of equipment hanging on the side that a regular lid wouldn't be able to accommodate, you can literally just cut holes in the netting for it. set it up properly and you have a very good lid

First it was a pain to get on. Second the magnet refuses to stay connected. I had it put together for 10 minutes and it was coming up. It took forever to put together correctly and the instructions were no help. It says it’s pet proof and there’s literally a cat laying on it in one of the pictures. My maybe 5 pound kitten put her two paws on the top of it and fell in. The entire thing has fallen into the tank twice since I put it together over the weekend. The only thing I like is that I can cut it to fit my filters. I will no longer be using this as I have to put a box over top of it since it keeps falling down and isn’t doing it’s job. ... show more

This came with enough material for me to cover both my 20 gallon tall rimmed tank and my 5 gallon rimless. The rimmed tank was much easier to install and looks a lot neater. The rimless tank was tricky, I was afraid I was going to break the glass the whole time, and it definitely didn’t come out looking as nice. I might end up replacing it with something else later but for now at least I can rest easy about my fish jumping out. ... show more

Price wise, I can’t complain much. It was a lid for cheap. 40 gallon breeder tank 36 x 18 x 16. It will still stink if your tank stinks because it’s just mesh. It is very hard to install. Especially if you have ocd like me. I was there for hours trying to pull it tight as possible to avoid any wrinkles. They were almost inevitable. You can’t pull it perfectly flat with just one person. The magnets will fight you like no tomorrow and come bent so they’re hard to iron out flat. And the instructions are so hard to read that it’s like impossible. I had to read them 10 times before I understood what it was asking for me to do because of the lack of clear English. Material and shipping situation is terrible but for the price. It’s ok… the glass version is like 2.5x more $ so is what it is I guess. I just wanted something to stop the stuff inside my cabinets falling in it. It does do that, mostly ... show more

Awesome product. It's pretty easy to assemble and the directions are very straightforward. My son was throwing things in my aquarium and this product stopped him. It's very sturdy with the extra clips including. I think it would hold the weight of my cats but I'm not sure. It stood up to me pushing down on it pretty hard. ... show more

Super difficult to install. The instructions are not easily put as well. The net is good but if you have to install on the side like I did then you'll have a problem feeding the fish. I had to make a small hole. I will be buying something else and trashing this. Not even worth it.
