Product works well. It’s very flimsy just need to be nice with your gear, it may last long time but must be treated like a Dove with a broken wing. Worth it yes. But I would spend the extra $8 to get the brass one. Gave 5 stars for what it is and does.

Easy use, flexible enough to run from one room to the next, at the same time, rigid enough to roll up neatly for easy storage. The safe is large enough to reach the bottom of a 55 gallon tank. Although some people have mentioned that the water flow rate is slow I think it’s perfect if you’re trying to do thorough cleaning of your substrate. Other siphons with faster, water flow take out too much water before you’re able to cover all the surface area for cleaning in my experience. I recommend if not using the attachments, which are really useful, to add a siphon bulb 3 feet from the siphon to make it easy to prime. Totally worth the investment, cheaper than the leading aquarium siphon brands, and more inconvenient than buying hardware store hoses without a siphon attachment. ... show more

This has been a great syphon, it seems of decent quality but dont be like me and leave it laying around then step on it, yeah that wasnt great. It was the cheapest one I could find that met all of my needs. I kind of wish I had bought the metal one now after stepping on the syphon part of this one which messed it up lol. These hoses are a little hard to spool up so you can stick it in a closet or drawer and its size is kind of large when it looks like a giant knot. It goes together really easy and one of my favorite parts is the quick disconnect, they real downside there is unless you leave off your sinks aerator the quick connect really doesnt help you much as you will be taking it off everytime anyways. ... show more

    • Overall good but needs improvement cause it's way slower then using a regular one.

It works and makes cleaning a lot easier, especially the part where it comes to refilling the tank. However, the hose and funnel are too wide imo. It makes it suck everything up VERY slowly, compared to smaller ones you can get at the stores around here. I actually had to take off the funnel thing and just use the base of it to make it go faster cause the gunk just seemed to want to float around in the funnel for a long time and may not even get sucked up far enough to go in the hose and it may even float back out of the funnel. That's how slow it is. I don't know why the base of it has holes cause on other ones there aren't those holes, that's probably part of what's slowing it down. I would try to remove the part with holes to make my cleaning go faster but once you thread that base onto the hose you can't get it off without cutting the hose and I didn't want to do that. So I left it. I still use it cause it's better than using a regular one overall (eliminates the use of buckets and carrying them back and forth) but cleaning takes much longer. Can't say enough great things about this handy and time saving tool. Saved my back, as well. Cheaper than the original brand name one, it didn't disappoint on quality. Maybe even better quality! It has brass thread fixtures to fit different sink faucets, even my 'female' threads in the bathroom sink! Long hose goes all the way through our apartment! Only thing is these things you gotta usually run water through it down the sink to have suction, which is a waste, but luckily Vegas recycles all it's indoor drain water , and good to note I believe they all do this, it has to in most cases. But task is very quick, even for big aquariums , so at least don't have to run the water for long. I Recommend this brand ... show more

Just performed a water change today on my 75g freshwater tank. Tank is in the breakfast room and the 30 foot tubing was more than long enough to reach the kitchen sink. One of the 3 attachment options fit the kitchen faucet. Assembly was super easy with clear directions on how to use. The orange safety stop inside the vacuum tube is perfect and a must have. Two fish swam right inside while I was wiping off the back of the tank. I don't know if it can be used on a saltwater tank since you have to mix RO water with salt in a separate large water container but for water from the home faucet and some Seachem Prime, it's perfect. I have 4 aquariums (2 ten gallon, a 36 gallon and a 55 gallon) in my house. I just bought a 125 gallon. For decades I have been toting around buckets of water to dump out old and bring in new water. My back has been protesting fiercely lately (yeah I know, lift with your legs yadda) and I decided I would not be lugging bucket after bucket anymore with such a large tank in the picture. The good: It was easy to hookup to my bathroom sink. Its easy to figure out how to use and I think anyone could do it. It refilled the tanks water without me carrying and lifting approximately 1000 buckets. I was so excited and thrilled. The bad: You aren't going to be cleaning your tanks using this. The suction is NOT strong enough to do so. If you want to simply do a water change this will work. If you're vacuuming up poop this will absolutely not work which is disappointing if we're being honest. All in all I'm going to use it for refilling my tanks. It is absolutely great for that purpose and is going to save me a lot of time and pain. I will still have to use an old manual siphon to clean the tanks and lug the buckets but not having to lug clean water and lift it to dump in is a huge win for me. ... show more
