I have been collecting figures and statues for a few years and have never put money into a proper shelf, aside from bookshelves from Mainstays or curio cabinets bought second- or even third-hand. Those always felt very fussy to use—awkward doors that opened from the sides, forcing you to slide things in from the left or right of the cabinet, and cleaning the curios was always a pain due to most surfaces being made of glass. These shelves, however, are perfect for most of my collection, including my Warhammer miniature collection. They come with a string attachment to keep them from tipping over, which is good because they do feel like they want to tip quite a bit. If you have animals that like to climb, you may want to use this or find a way to secure the shelf better than the provided string. Also, if you have an untrained pet or a humid room, the wood is not the highest quality and is probably MDF or something similar, so you may want to prevent any water or liquid damage. The display itself is wonderful—I’m drawn to it whenever I walk by. Each shelf is lit up, but they are all the same color, so you can only choose one color for the entire unit. There’s no option for custom lighting between shelves. There is significant space for many figures and statues, though nothing that could fit anything around 11–12 inches tall. That said, each shelf has plenty of room for displaying multiple figures. The doors are a little awkward to get used to at first, requiring fairly precise angling to slide up and back into the shelf. There are also gaps around them, so it is not fully sealed from dust or particles. However, it is much easier to place items into this shelf than any curio cabinet I’ve ever owned. Most higher-end curios I’ve had were all glass with mirrored backgrounds, but the black finish on this shelf keeps your focus on the figures and displays much better than those do. One more note, it can be easily forgotten to check for clearance and if you've got a larger item to fit in to the shelves, i would be careful as the cabinet doors open up and push in along the top of the shelves and can catch anything above too tall for it to clear. ... show more

This is one of the greatest display cabinets ever. It is worth the price and more. Very easy to assemble and looks great when done.

Not bad for the price! Don't expect a high end piece of furniture. They used plexi glass, so it's important to note that you can't use glass cleaner. Follow the instructions and it will take you a couple hours (with breaks to get coffee and let the dogs out). The last step is crucial for stability.

Terrible purchase for me. Product was not “stamped” so I waited weeks for a replacement piece. Now, parts are missing as this has sat weeks waiting to be assembled. Tried to return, but they wanted me to pay nearly $50 for their defective product. 10,000+ purchases from Amazon and this is made too 10 worse purchases. Congrats! ... show more

Beautiful cabinet! Directions are easy to follow. It doesn't fall apart as you're assembling it. Hinges were perfectly aligned. Definitely recommend.
