It took a while to receive this ottoman (due to Covid?), but after it arrived I couldn't have been happier. This is a very nice looking piece of furniture & well made. Initially, you'll need to follow instructions when changing it to a lounge chair or bed, but after a few times, it's pretty easy to figure out. We've really enjoyed using it in the lounge chair position for TV viewing. It's wide enough that my husband & I can lounge on it together. I am very impressed with this ottoman. I live in a small apartment in NY with absolutely no storage or closet space, so I'm always looking for functional furniture and alternatives to air mattresses because I have nowhere to put them! The ottoman arrived way faster than I expected (within 2 days of completing the order on Amazon) and completely assembled in a huge box. I live on the second floor of a private house and could not carry this up by myself. I had to ask my neighbor for help. Once the box was open, I was able to easily move the ottoman where I wanted and try it out. It goes from ottoman, to chair, to lounger, to twin bed. Very sturdy. I am 5'7" and weigh 215 lbs. I was able to fit in this perfectly (3rd picture). The cushioning is very firm, so I bought a mattress topper for when guests have to sleep on it. Also, the linen-like material looks to be very durable, but not comfortable (think outdoor furniture material). However, I will not be using this for anything more than the ottoman and occasional bed, so that is not an issue for me, but if you are going to use this as a place to sit on a daily basis, I suggest getting the suede version of this. The sofas I have in my living room are the Ektorp series from Ikeaa and the ottoman is exactly the same height as the sofas, so it looks great. All in all. Really pleased with this convertible ottoman to single bed! I've been researching chairs and ottomans that convert for almost a year now, in anticipation of holidays guests coming this Xmas, but not a lot of space. Most chairs that convert are only 32" wide....kinda skinny! THIS is a generous 37" wide, and 74" long, which will comfortably fit my 6' son. The foam *mattress" is pretty firm, which most in my family like, but I decided I will also order a soft topper in case it's too firm for any guest. It opens and folds back to an ottoman very easily, and has handy built-in magnets to keep the flaps attached to the metal frame. It's all-around a very nice-looking unit! The fabric cover can be removed to wash, too! A plus for easy care! I placed it in my art studio to have for the extra overnight guest, but it will be a nice seat for the studio as well. It is definitely not a soft bed but I think if you add a topper, its fine for a guest to stay on. The only thing I would warn people about is opening up from an ottoman to a bed. I was opening with another person and my pinky finger got smushed somehow. I literally thought I had broken it and even a month later, it still hurts. Be very careful about where you put your hands as you are opening it. ... show more

I 've been looking for something like this for years. Came in one day earlier. It is much wider than one would think. Great size. Had a problem returning it from bed into an ottoman. Instructions not clear at all, nor figures. Open all sides of the box carefully. Slide the gizmo out and to wherever you want. Once you make it into the horizontal bed position, the rail must be pulled out all the way and then return it back in (picture - zoom in), in other words don't push the seating part but the flap - push in the rail and the flap will flatten. I had a very hard time with that even a few minutes ago taking the picture. Because when you flatten it, that part I call flap opens automatically. I am very satisfied! It is very nice - not as an ottoman/seat but a bed that does not take space. I also got the mattress cover but will open it when friends and family can visit given the virus. Not yet. I would buy a second one even though I have no room in my apartment if and when it comes in a nicer, more neutral color. I got the light grey. I am extremely satisfied and happy with this purchase!
