Bought these for work to contact my supervisor when we are away from the computers. Range is adequate within the same building and floor. Our building size is like two McDonald’s together. I like the call function because it startles the other talkie. We work near noisy machines, so the volume is great to notice. Bought these for my 6 year old son when he plays in the yard so I can calm him in or if he needs me. I don’t leave him unsupervised for long periods of time, but in the event he needs help he can call me. Super cute and looks like the picture. Only thing is he doesn’t like the feeling of the band so I Velcro it to his pants loop.

We bought a set in the summer for a friend's birthday. They said it lasted a little while before one stopped working. We got two more sets for Christmas gifts. Bought them early, tested them all with batteries as soon as they arrived. They all worked fine, all four worked on the same channel. Took out batteries, waited until closer to Christmas to wrap. A few days before Christmas, put new batteries in each so they would be ready to use when opened. One was dropped lightly, from a foot above a wood laminate floor. Later, one (not sure if it was the one that got dropped) got really hot on the battery compartment door, even though it was not on. Was able to open the battery compartment and barely was able to remove batteries. One battery was very hot to the touch. We let it cool, and later put other new batteries in it. It seemed fine, so we wrapped it, our kids opened it for Christmas and played with it. The next day we happened to be holding it (turned off for several hours) and it got very hot again. Took out the batteries, once again only one battery in the same spot was extremely hot. At this point we are concerned about safety and will not be using again. It gets hot so quickly, it seems like it could melt the plastic and catch on fire. If a child was wearing it when it gets hot, they could end up with burns, especially if they are too little to be able to take it off themselves. When they work, they work fine, but this is just too big a risk to keep using.

Oh my goodness, these are so cute and work great! The sound quality is good and they fit well on little wrists. The picture is on my wrist but I have very small wrists. They are still going strong months later after purchase despite some not so gentle kids. I love that they don’t have to try and keep up with them while carrying them around like traditional walkie talkies and can stay right on their wrists while playing. I also loved that they came in a pack of three for three siblings without any fighting over two or having to buy two sets for four.
