I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and well crafted this fireplace surround was when it arrived. It was easy to assemble and everything fit exactly as it was supposed to. The reason for the 4 star rating instead of the 5 star rating is because I didn't receive the fireplace insert in the heavy duty packaged box the Mantel came in nor any additional tracking information on when or how the fireplace insert was being shipped. I reached out to Amazon and was told to wait 48 hours for a response that they were contacting the 3rd party seller for me. Within 48 hours I received a message that they were sorry they did not send the fireplace insert but they would ship it out as soon as they could. I didn't like the fact that if I had not questioned when it would be arriving that I may not have gotten it. The insert arrived in perfect condition in about 4 days and I as happy that the seller did ship it out like they said they would with the tracking information they provided. The media could not be loaded. When we started to look for electric fireplaces at local stores I was very disappointed with what was out there. I started researching and found Dimplex. After reading many reviews I came to the conclusion the company was known for quality and authentic flames. I decided to purchase this on Amazon due to the price as it was much cheaper than other sites. It arrived safely and was easy to assemble. It is very high quality stone work. The Dimplex fire box is high quality also and overall flame authenticity is great. Is it like a real fire, no but it is pretty darn close especially at first glance. The heat it puts out is impressive as well. It heats our 13x32 insulated basement with ease and the fan is whisper quiet. We’re very impressed and happy with our purchase. ... show more

I purchased this mid January and the left side of the flame video screen won't come on anymore and it makes a clicking noise every few seconds. I've called Amazon, they directed me to the seller. I've called the seller and they directed me to the manufacturer. I'm still trying to reach the manufacturer. This is a lot of money for it to break in less than 60 days and it has been more than aggravating to try and reach someone who cares. I thought one of the pros of ordering thru Amazon was that problems/questions/issues would be easily & quickly handled but this is turning into a nightmare. Buyer beware. ... show more

The shipping from Amazon and fireplaces direct was excellent for such a heavy item the fireplace itself is beautiful very good build quality however the instructions that come with it are awful you will need two people to put this thing together because of it being so heavy but once you get it together it's an excellent and beautiful fireplace ... show more
