This is a cute, simple dimmable floor lamp. It has a slim design that goes well with modern decor. I love the mix of black and gold with the natural shade. It was easy to put together and added some ambiance in the corner of the room. The shade is a little odd since you have to put it together. All other lamps I have purchased had the shade already assembled. So I wish it was a better quality but will be good enough for the bedroom, but I will get something more substantial for the living room.     • Careful Putting It Together
This is a nice utilitarian lamp. It’s has a classy look with the black and bronze color pole and the multi filament led light bulb. The switch is on the upper side of the black pole. It is a rotary switch which you click on and then rotate to increase the light. It is black to match the pole so it blends in nicely. The light goes from a very dim for mood or night lighting to bright for reading or good space lighting. The pole comes in four pieces which screw together securely with the joints not being very noticeable. I made the mistake of screwing the pole together first before screwing the pole into the base. It made it difficult to align the two pieces exactly and the end result was I ended up damaging the screw treads. As a result, the pole is a little off of straight which I’ll correct by putting a spacer under the base. I would suggest screwing the bottom part of the pole into the base before assembling the pole. Also putting a little soap or oil on the treads should make it easier to find the right alignment and screw it in. ... show more

This is a well made and pretty stylish floor lamp. The dimmer is on the lamp and has a good adjustment range. Works perfectly when plugged into a smart outlet. If wanted, you could use a bulb that comes with a remote.

First thing first, everything is taped in plastic, cardboard, and Styrofoam so unboxing will take a few minutes. Assembly didn't take long, but the instructions are laughable. The dimmer knob works smoothly and nicely as described. The big disappointment with this light is that it isn't bright enough. I set this 6W LED floor lamp next to a different floor lamp that had a 60 watt incandescent bulb, and the 60 watt floor lamp easily out shined this one. I really wanted to like this light, but I can't really find a practical spot for it in my home. It could be used on a switched outlet for passing thru a room, or maybe to light a room when you're not home, or maybe as background lighting in the TV room. When I ordered this lamp I wasn't sure how nice it would look or if it would look inexpensive. I'm so happy I took the chance. I've been looking for a floor lamp with gold on it and this one fits perfectly. No worries about it not being sturdy, the base has a good solid weight to it. The tone of the gold and black match some of my more pricey items. The shade is one that comes wrapped and has to be put together by clamping the wire to the shade and connect the Velcro to secure it. I thought this was going to look silly but I don't think anyone would realize it by looking at it. The dimmer function has a nice variation. (I tried to show this in my pictures). It came packaged securely with a light bulb. The assembly was very easy and took only a few minutes. I would recommend this lamp as a good value. ... show more

I've never ordered a lamp online so it was interesting to see how it was all packed up. When I saw the lampshade all rolled up, I thought this can't be that good. But the shade was just fine. Once I unrolled it, attached the metal clamps, and then secured the velcro, it looked perfect. I think this lampshade is much thinner than the one on my other lamp, so it diffuses a lot more light. I wanted to use this in the living room, to replace a smaller lamp, and I think it is bright enough for my needs. I mainly keep it on when watching TV so I don't need very bright lights. The instructions weren't really detailed, but it wasn't hard to put together. There are some plastic rings protecting the lamp pole, which have to be removed so you can fit the pole parts together. I would start by attaching the first pole segment to the base and go on from there. I like the black and gold combination and I think the design is very pleasant. ... show more
