I received this and I can say it's a nice lamp but I do not like the shade. It's very flimsy and cheap. The price of lamp is ok I needed a lamp in that one area of my living room. The lamp is not too tall I'm 5 feet 4 and I'm just about the same size of lamp. The light bulb that came with it isn't bad. Just enough brightness I need. I will usually spend more for a lamp. You get what you pay for I guess and this is one of those lamps because the lamp shade is flimsy The shade should be bigger It looks so tiny for a floor lamp like this. I'm not bothering to return and wait 30 days for a refund I'm just going to keep it. Most likely going to take it out of my living room and putting it in the spare bedroom. If the lamp shade was bigger I would keep it in my living area. It's just a little ugly with that lamp shade Even my husband agrees. I love my walnut color tripod lamp i bought from Amazon a couple years ago. It's way better then this lamp at least my tripod lamp shade is bigger and I paid more for it and love it way better. ... show more

The dimmer works perfectly, the lamp is sturdy and stable, it looks beautiful. (I’ve ordered three for my house.) However, you have to loop EVERY SINGLE piece of plastic down EVERY SINGLE piece of the lamp—unless you cut it. You also have to pull the base out of brittle styrofoam that will shed itself all over if so much as brush brush your hand against it. It was easy peasy to put together. Just remove the small plastic rings between each pole. I found it easiest to screw all the poles together first then lay the base on its side, put the screw up through the bottom then screw it in and tighten, then stand up. The dimming feature is awesome.. I'd rather the dimmer switch up high then the foot control. Great price and the lampshade was easy to put together. It comes with a bulb as well! ... show more

Easy to quickly assemble. Lampshade quite a bit smaller than expected, but my fault as I didn’t pay much attention to specs. Will keep-it’s just for a little reading corner. Like the On/Off switch-easily reached from sitting down.

Will have to replace light bulb because it is not bright enough. I had trouble trying to screw the lamp ring but then noticed the one in the bag was a replacement one and i had to use the one that was screwed on already. So if the ring doesn’t fit it’s because you’re using the wrong one!
