Description

The TRIO+ is a simple-to-use guitar pedal that listens to the way you play and automatically generates bass and drum parts that match your song. Just plug your guitar into the TRIO+, press the Band footswitch to teach the TRIO+ your chords and rhythm, then press the Band footswitch again to start playing with your own personal band! Bass and drum levels can be adjusted for the perfect mix using the TRIO+'s Bass and Drums knobs. The TRIO+ also features a Simple Bass button lets you select between 3 bass line modes for busy or simple bass lines. Pushing the Band Creator paradigm further, the TRIO+ also allows you to loop and custom sequence your looped guitar parts to create full songs on the fly. Press the TRIO+'s Looper footswitch to record a loop along with an unlimited number of overdubs. The Loop level can be individually controlled using the TRIO+'s Loop knob. Loops can be recorded by themselves, operating just like a traditional looper, or along with the band. You can also apply built-in effects to your guitar signal by enabling the TRIO+'s Guitar FX button, or connect your favorite effects to the TRIO+'s FX Send and FX Return jacks. The TRIO+ provides 12 music genres to choose from including: Blues, R&B, Rock, Alternative Rock, Metal, Pop, Electronic Pop, Hip-Hop, Country, Folk, Latin, and Jazz. 12 song styles are available for each genre and can be selected using the TRIO+'s Style encoder, including selection between 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures. Multi-colored LEDs around the TRIO+'s Style encoder indicate which styles best match your song.     • I love, love, love this pedal!!!
I've waited several months to write this review so I could really use the product. It takes some experimenting and adjustment to get the Trio to play what you want it to. You basically have to whittle down your idea to the basic chords and figure out the beat you want from the drums and play/strum the chords to that beat, then once you hit the playback button it'll play back what you want to hear. I will also say that I use this with my slide guitar tuned to open E and I can play riffs and it will usually come up with a cool bass line for the guitar riff. I do have the external footswitch which helps a lot as well. I recommend you use this through a small set of PA speakers and with some reverb or delay. I actually use delay and a tiny amount of overdrive to get that scratchy, low fi, old school sound. I really can't say enough good things about this pedal, it's made me ten times the player I was just a year ago. It's like a constant, unwavering, band in a box to jam along with. You get your basic pattern going then you can loop guitar chords, add lead lines to harmonize with, the skies the limit. If you can't get this pedal to do what you think it should it might be your technique, your timing, your patience, etc. I can tell you this is the best thing to come down the line in a long, long time. I also enjoy basic looper pedals, but as far as one that reads what you play and adds bass and drums to it in a matter of a few seconds this thing is phenomenal! ... show more

    • Great practice tool
Got tired of playing alone and decided to give this guy a try. Looked at several drum machines but most seemed to be leaning toward the techno crowd. I’m a blues rock guy and this little unit has proven to be a great practice buddy. Still learning the ins and outs but I do love the veriety this unit offers. Also purchased the optional foot switch. I prefer to have the unit on a table and the foot switch on the floor. That keeps me from bending over repeatedly to tweak the band. Well worth the cost and has been tons of fun. Layout is simple and once accustomed to the interface, it’s easy to work with. Read the manual to get the most out of it. Only drawbacks is the drums and bass have the same sound no matter the style. The sound isn’t bad by any means, it’s just not editable to have different bass tones or different drum kits. Didn’t purchase it for gigging, only for use at home. Have probably played more in the last 2 weeks after getting this than I have in the last 2 years! Between this and my recently acquired micro terror, and zoom gx1on stomp box, I want to play every day after work. Next thing I know it’s after midnight and I should have been in bed hours ago! But will most likely do it again tonight. And yes it is that fun! ... show more

Everything about the pedal is awesome it gives you a band when you don't have one to practice with it's a band and a pedal it's not hard to use just need to get your timing down to use it the right way sound qualities outstanding Price could be a little cheaper but for what you get it's worth it

It works, but many of the rhythms it picks up (builds) are far from what I was hoping for. Also the button press to start and end, are sometimes spotty and you need to start over again.

If you are like me, and struggle to find just the right backing on a rhythm pedal, then try The Trio. Instead of searching for the right rhythm track, the TRIO is programmable. I play a few chords in whatever time and key. Then the Trio creates my backing track. It's fast and unbelievable cool to use. Then you can loop some chords, adding to the backing track, with the built in looper. The looper and rhythm automatically synchronize. And you're ready to jam with the Trio with your custom backing track. Very cool pedal! ... show more

This is a replacement for a previous unit I owned. These pedals are amazing. They can make a solo act sound like an entire band. I use mine to play publicly. If you're on the fence about buying one...do it. You'll be glad you did!

Doesn't live up to it's hype. I expected it to be a complex device but complete dissatisifed with it's tempo detention and bass parts. It does have options but doesn't seem to learn very well. I should have pay more attention online where people discuss giving it simple things, becuase working with it very simple things is all it can track and come up with anything that remotely sounds good. Likely a fun toy for creative person but if your looking for plug play band in box, this isn't it. As for the pedal build, it is build well like most anything Digitech I have owned. ... show more
