I bought this pump to replace a previous compressor pump that we had been using for about three years to aerate our pond. The prior pump worked well but I found that I needed to rebuild it about every 12 months. Before I could rebuild it the last time, it failed and I don’t know enough about motors to try and fix it so I just replaced it. What I didn’t expect is how much more powerful and, most importantly, how much quieter this pump would be. I have the pump in an enclosure on the backside of our pond. The prior pump was definitely audible anywhere in the vicinity of the pond. This pump is so quiet that you have to be fairly close to the enclosure to even hear it. It seems to be doing a great job and I will update this review as time goes on but I am thrilled so far at the two month mark. ... show more

Purchased and installed pump in July 2022. The aerator froze up on 20 march 2023. Contacted customer service in the morning and they had a replacement aerator shipped to me that afternoon! Received the replacement aerator 2 days after the other one quit!

The older pump we had running on and off was starting to get weak so we bought this pump and replaced it and works great so far and get a rebuild kit for the other pump for a back up. We have 2 ponds and 4 aerators both ponds are around 2 1/2 acres.

When my original aeration pump failed, I was shocked to find the cost was nearly that of the full system. After some research, I picked this pump. It is smaller dimensionally and required some creative engineering to fit into the old box and connect to the distribution piping, but not terrible. Picked up a few pipe fittings and modified the old plumbing. My main complaint is the use of 1/4" 24 threads in the base - it is nearly impossible to find these threads on bolts today. The pump is working very well after two weeks of continuous operation. It is actually quieter than the original pump. I am very satisfied with it. ... show more
