All standard AC/DC Volt, Ohm, and Current (MAX 10A) readings. NCV non-contact AC voltage detection Live wire identification Temperature measurement - Includes K-type temperature probe CON's Really can't think of any. This is a really fine Digital Multimeter especially with the additions of the Temp and NCV capabilities. The fold out kickstand on the back helps tilt the meter for easy reading on a bench or in the field. It does come with 2 AA batteries and a small philips screwdriver to get into the battery compartment on the back. Overall I really like this Multimeter and would highly recommend it to anyone needing a good, easy to read, Digital Multimeter. The integrated NCV capabilities will one day save you life. Non-Contact is the safest way to go on initial inspection of the job site. This meter will do that and a whole lot more.

This multimeter has just about everything you want in one. It works well. There is however a few odd things about it but overall everything read correctly. I wouldn't say it's easy to use but works nonetheless.

I recently got my hands on the MESTEK Multimeter Tester, and it's become my favorite tool for all sorts of electrical jobs around the house. I'm no electrician but this thing is incredibly versatile and super easy to use. It can measure all kinds of stuff like AC/DC current, voltage, and even check things like diodes and temperature. But the best part is, it has a special feature that lets you check if there's electricity around without even touching anything. It beeps and lights up when it senses it. The main way I've been using it, is in the installation of 3-way light switches. It alerts me to voltage in the circuit, and helps me track down the traveller wires vs. the hot/not hot wires. What's great is that it's really user-friendly. You don't have to mess around with settings because it figures things out on its own in that it's auto ranging. The directions could be a bit more substantive, but I went online and read a bit more in-depth. Another slight drawback is the readability of the function settings around the dial. I have old-man eyes and have to use a flashlight in low-light situations. I've used it for all sorts of things around the house, (switches, plug outlets, and hot circuits.. And the best part is, it's safe to use, and they have great customer support in case you have any questions. I'd give it a solid 5 stars any day!
