Arrived quickly, easy to assemble and install. Came with extra parts and a super long cord so you can adjust the height to your liking. Very please with end results in my previously dark stairwell. Pros: Does not fill flimsy at all. I had to purchase a swag kit from Lowes to extend the chain and cord. And both the cord and the chain were of MUCH better quality and thicker gauge than the Lowes brand. Additionally, it is super easy to assemble, even without reading the instructions. Cons: One of the pipe threads had a burr that prevented it from easily screwing in. Matter of fact, neither of my mechanically inclined sons could do it by hand. We had to enlist the help of a 1mmx10 nut to clear out the burr. However, since the pipe metal is so malleable, it gave way and cleared the burr no problem without the need for a die. For this reason I'm removing a star. ... show more

While some see this chandelier as "farmhouse", it has a modern gothic feel for me. The chandelier was easy to assemble and install (for my adult son). It is hanging beautifully from a tall, angled, dining room ceiling, with candle flame type bulbs. We love this light fixture! No issues or complaints

    • Very nice light with unique adjustable outer ring.

Plenty of photos of this light in the reviews and it looks exactly as it does in the listing. The ring is metal and it has a faux wood look but up close it doesn't really have a convincing texture. Not a big deal because it's 8 feet above the floor, but it's worth noting. This light is unique and uses thin cables that hold the ring in place which you can adjust higher or lower as desired. The cables insert into the upper cap and then lock into place kind of like a Chinese finger trap. Unique idea and it works pretty well except on one of they holes on mine, but all together they are plenty to keep it in place. The construction is decent though there were a few adjustments I had to make and a couple things to bend into place but that's to be expected with just about any light these days. Overall it's a nice light for the money and I can't justify taking any stars for the few little issues. ... show more

I eagerly hung this fixture up over my dining room table with a set of antique/rustic bulbs and love the way it looks. It's a cumbersome enough job to warrant a helper if you can get one, but the work pays off. Unfortunately, it hangs too low from my 8' ceiling, even with the chain as short as I can make it, so I will have to take it down but that isn't a shortcoming of the fixture. My wife ordered this "farmhouse chandelier" for our dining room / sun room area, and expected me to put it together and install it of course. It was easy enough to assemble, and I was ready to hang it from the ceiling in a short period of time. However, we have old 1940's fixtures in our home, so the part that attaches to the ceiling didn't quite match. I was able to get it working, but it took me almost 2 hours in the end (and my wife holding the weight of the chandelier while I worked on it for about 1 hour of that time). So it wasn't fun, but that isn't the fault of the chandelier. Just be aware that if you have an older house, you may need some help installing it. In the end, it looks amazing and fits full-sized standard light bulbs (not included). It's even dimmable. It looks amazing, and my wife is very pleased with the end result. 5 stars! ... show more
