I often have to steam my daughters dance costumes. My previous steamer was fantastic, but it recently broke and I can’t find the same brand. I got this one as a replacement but it’s too powerful for delicate fabrics and leaves everything damp. If you are steaming heavy fabrics, and you have time for items to dry, this is a great steamer. It did heat up fast and blasts out a lot of steam, but you still have to get pretty close to the clothing item to get the wrinkles out, then the item gets damp. If you are steaming something with the intent of putting it on a few minutes after, this won’t work. I just did a costume and one of my husband’s shirts. Both are still damp after 30 minutes - and on the area of the shirt where I tried it on a flat surface, it is soaked. I’m returning but still giving 4 stars because it definitely works if you’re looking for something powerful! ... show more

I’m too lazy to iron, so this steamer is great. It folds to pack in your suitcase and was a lifesaver on my last trip. I’ve also used it on all of my curtains. I gave 4 stars because the “ready light” on top doesn’t turn on anymore (after 1 month). A little annoying, but I can hear the steam when it’s ready, and it works great otherwise. ... show more

The water tank just pops off and fill it from any sink then pop it back on. Plug it in and a green light on top of the unit flashes to indicate it is heating up. Turns solid green when it is ready to go, 30 second wait time. As water tank sizes goes, this is slightly larger at 200 mL (6.76 us fl oz). On average these travel steamers have a 120 mL (4 oz) tank. It can be used in a vertical or horizontal position. I like that you do not need to hold a switch down for continuous steaming, that is a deal breaker. There is an on/off steam switch, press it once for steam, press it again to turn steam off. There is no on/off switch for heating the water, you need to plug/unplug for that. No big deal, I would always do that for an iron even though it could be turned off while plugged in. A long 2.4 m (8 ft) Power Cord. If you were to steam horizontal you would normally do this on a bed or couch and the long cord makes a difference. I bought one earlier with a 1.6 m (66 in) cord, what a useless length. Ad never mentioned the length, got no answers to my question so took a chance, deal breaker and returned it. Pistol Grip. This is convenient, more comfortable to hold, some have a wide body because of the water tank with no handle to keep the overall size down, usable but awkward to hold for any length of time. The handle folds down and a storage bag is provided. These travel steamers are more suited for check-in luggage. I would not call this carry-on friendly, takes up a lot of space, even when folded. You can take it as a carry-on but you may have to leave something else behind. This works great and you don’t need to break out an ironing board. A recommened buy as it has • On/Off Steam Switch • 200 mL (6.76 oz) Water Tank • 2.4 m (8 ft) Power Cord • Pistol Grip No on/off power switch but I do not consider this to be a deal breaker. ... show more
