I can't speak to durability bc we just built the bed but in regards to assembly- clear packaging with pieces labeled and very straightforward assembly directions. The only hold up I had was assembling the slats and that took a minute to slow down and figure out (tip: assemble whole slat before clicking into place- will make sense when you're on that step). The material is on the thin side so if you have a younger child or a child that plays more "rough and tumble" I could see the risk for rips but for my young teen this is a great economical option, hopefully lasting 3-5 years daily use. As others have said, the drawers will not hold heavy items. Sweaters, light weight knick knacks will be fine. (They are a pretty decent size.) Overall, -- knowing the price point-- it seems like we're off to an easy to assemble, nice little bed. (Will adjust review after sleeping on the bed for awhile if needed.) ... show more

Will this be the most solid piece of furniture in your house? No. Will this last you a generation? No. But it definitely does the job really really well. I bought this after lots and lots of research so hopefully my review will be helpful. Pros: - You get a very stylish daybed for a very good price. - Love the minimalist look - The blue linen color is absolutely beautiful - Has not shown any signs of wear considering how much my toddler jumps on it. - Instructions were clear and simple, it still took me a couple hours to put together but I was able to do a lot of it by myself with a little help from my husband. - You can really pull the room together beautifully with some throw pillows and a nice fitted sheet. - I have had wonderful naps on it! It also depends on what kind of mattress you pair it with. If you will be sleeping on it a lot I'd suggest getting a more comfortable mattress to really get its worth. Cons: - The drawers are so useless. They have really cheaped out on these. Firstly they aren't attached to the sofa they just roll around on their own which makes them go in every direction. - The material they use for the drawers are paper. You cannot put anything heavy in there. I bought this thinking I would be able to store my daughter's toys but I was wrong. It is very delicate I can only keep throws and small pillows. - Its always a pain to close the drawers shut because you need to lift the drawer and insert the nail straight into a small notch on the frame of the bed which is not possible in the first try considering how much these drawers roll around here and there. - Had significant off-gas which took a while to diffuse. - Not very high quality build. But you definitely get what you pay for. ... show more

I bought this for my son who wanted a more grown up looking bed. He LOVES it! It was challenging to put together, but that's mostly due to the size. It's sturdy, the drawers are huge, and it looks nice. If you want something that your kid can grow up in, this is definitely a great buy!

I have to admit that I was a little nervous when I ordered this bed. It’s a lot of money to spend on something “sight unseen.” I knew it would be delivered in one large box, and I worried that a 103 pound box would be beat to death by the time it arrive at my door. Then I worried about what I was going to do once it got here. I’m 4ft, 11in, and I don’t weight much more than the box does. The UPS man struggled to get it out of his truck and onto my front porch. I wound up opening it there, and bringing it, piece by piece, into my bedroom. The individual pieces were light weight but they felt really sturdy. Each part was labeled, and the 26 pages of instructions were really easy to follow. I highly recommend using a drill with a low torque setting instead of the included hex wrench to save time. The drawers could have been made sturdier, but I can remake them with wood when the plastic eventually wears out. I am using an AmazonBasics 12” memory foam twin mattress on this bed, and can still see plenty of the sides and back. Well I could until I added 9 pillows. Lol ... show more

This was very easy to put together. The drawers are very spacious and give it a nice finished look (they also prevent my dog from going under the bed and hiding toys, a big plus there). It's very sturdy as well. With me, my roommate, and both our dogs sitting on the bed it's around 400lb and the bed didn't so much as squeak in protest. My dog bounces around on it all the time and it doesn't budge. I really think this is well worth the money. ... show more

Super easy to assemble. I was able to do it on my own. It does take a bit of time, however. It is a solid bed frame and the drawers are a nice bonus. Looks great in my basement guest room. Super good value for the money.
