This is a good knife set for home cooks and anyone that wants to impress their friends. The edge retention is a lot better than I thought. I recommend hand washing and drying immediately to maintain the longevity of these knives. The out of package sharpness is very decent. I chose to sharpen my set with a rolling sharpener set at 20°.
