I seen a review saying the blinds were thin. I’m glad I didn’t cancel. I pictured them like the old aluminum ones in thickness. They weren’t. The mechanism for angling the shades starts out incredibly stiff. As you try to tilt the shades down, the plastic rod and the connection hook both feel like they are strained to the breaking point. It gets worse not better as I try to tilt up and back down. It simply will not tilt down. It won't go half way. I have to use it tilted up only, something I would never do. Even this is quite difficult. The picture shows the shades tilted down as far as I can go. Incredibly frustrating to get something this bad that would take time to return when I really needed the shade to operate correctly on Day 1 as it is needed to make my office usable during specific hours. I did call Customer support. The person put me on hold several times to ask someone else questions about my questions and never came back. Eventually I hung up. These blinds are paper then, they are not the nice ones you get a Home Depot or Lowe’s. But they are also half the cost and frankly from far away you can’t tell the difference and they block out a lot of light. I purchased the dimensions of my windows the first time as the description said to do so as they would come half an inch smaller on the width. That was not the case. I returned them and ordered half an inch smaller and they fit perfectly. (A little upset I had to pay more but I digress)
