    • Very sturdy
Working on mostly remodels I use a level for many different applications. Leveling framing, tiling, setting cabinets, installing bathtubs, etc. This level is not cheap. It's a very sturdy box level that should last for decades if it's taken care of and not left out in the elements. The center level has a full smooth side. This is good for marking the full length of the level instead of having a dip in the center. It also has a magnetic edge if you do metal work. This can be pretty handy for those occasions. Any tradesman can appreciate the features of this level. It is heavier than an I-beam level, but that's normally the case with box levels. Overall it's a very good product. ... show more

We bought the 4' version. It's a little wider than most. Rubberized ends , massive unit better served for rough framing. In a pinch in the APOCALYPSE could serve also as a Zombie persuader . Great level for the money. We would definitely recommend and buy again.

    • Accurate, magnetic
I work with metal studs, so this level has been used on close to 200 studs in its first few weeks. I absolutely love this, it's significantly improved my accuracy and speed. Since I work with metal studs, which are magnetic, this level stays on the surface of the stud so I can hands free adjust the stud. It's big, wider than the 1 and 1/4 inch studs I work with, but because the magnets are small and centered it will still stick. When it does lose traction and slide down the side of a stud, its rubberized ends absorb the impact (which is minimal since it's sliding not freefalling). I am not so upset about this sliding issue though, since I don't want this level to stick enough that when I pull it off my stud it pulls the stud out of alignment, so this strikes imo a safe balance. It will hang upside down, comfortably. This level is so effective I had to get the 2 foot version for doorways. There are other magnetic levels from reputable brands which I'm sure are quality, but I am quite happy with this one. My partner on the job buys Irwin, so I'll update if there's a notable difference between the brands. I think the light on the 2 foot irwin might be a worthwhile addition, but we'll see. ... show more

well the name says it all its a dewalt they think of everything.... this thing is super accurate and very durable a little thick but its really helpful if you set it on for example floor joist it doesn't just keep falling off like most levels do.... magnets are crazy strong the only problem i have found with it is like all levels the end caps don't follow a complete straight line.... ... show more
