Built To Withstand Severe Drops Of Up To 3 Ft (1 M) Directly Onto Concrete, Or Up To 5 Ft (1. 5 M) When Pushed Over On A Tripod Means Less Downtime And Cost Due To Damage Caused By Accidental Drop Or Tipover. . . And Lower Repair Costs Over The Life Of The Product. From the Manufacturer The Spectra Precision Laser LL300 is an automatic self-leveling laser level that is rugged enough to survive drops of up to 1 meter onto concrete and can be tipped on a tripod up to 1.5 meters and keep working. Great laser, I like how they package everything together and the lazer can stay on the tripod legs. It's a bulky case but you never have to worry if you forgot the legs or storypull. I've been around these lasers for a long time and they are reliable and the quality is great.

Great kit, I ordered this kit due to the fact that I already owned a Johnson tripod and metric stick. It has made my life much easier (well at work anyway!) I like very much the change of precision from 1mm to 5mm, it can switch from mm, inch, feet and metres. I like the case with all inclosed so I can grab and go. I installed the batteries that came with the unit. (4 D size) and was using the level in minutes. I have multiple projects coming up that this level is going to make it very easy for me.(1 man show) This will be like a 3rd arm as I usually don't have help here on the farm. I purchased the magnetic receiver holder which now I can use with the excavator. so far very good for this laser level. I couldn't find on Amazon a combo of the kit with rechargeable batteries and the charger. So I purchased the charger for this model and 4 batteries from Amazon. The charge was correct but the full charge batteries would not turn on the unit (4 D- 5000mh). So I returned those and purchased 4 more (D-15000 ah) and after a full 24 hours on the charger that came with the batteries, they would not turn on the unit. Online I for an image of a kit with the rechargeable batteries and they were 5000 ah. I will contact Spectra to see what may be the issue.
