Positives: easy to use, no cord to restrict where it can be used, cuts well, has removable extension pole (can store it in sections to save space), it's a sturdy build, it came with a battery, a charger, and a bar chain. Downsides: with extension pole, it's top heavy and harder for a person without good arm strength to use, the included battery doesn't last long (low amp hrs), you'll need to buy a bigger one(s), it goes through bar chain oil fairly quickly (you'll need to buy some oil - it doesn't come with oil), so keep an eye on oil when in use, it doesn't come with a carrying case (be careful for oil from bar chain getting on stuff you store around it). Overall, very surprised at how well it did the job. Would recommend it, and would buy it again. Used it for trimming trees around fence line, and trees growing up under power/cable lines (prevents losing power/cable during storms due to branches/limbs falling). ... show more

This pole saw seems to be very nice quality! Very sturdy construction. And it uses the same batteries as the rest of my 20v Dewalt tools. My only grip is the description says it has a 15' reach with the extension pole attached. The truth is this unit is, with all three sections assembled, the unit is only 10' long.
