I went to a large chain box store in the area to buy a Dewalt angle grinder, and had the 4012 model in mind. However, after picking one up and seeing how fat it was and that awful paddle switch, that got put back down on the display. I checked the other models, and liked this one right away. It feels very comfortable in the hand, the switch is very nice, and was well balanced. The store price was $60 more than the 4012, and $30 more than the Amazon price for this 43113 model, and they refused to price match because "Amazon uses third party people and you don't know what you're going to get". So, I got out my phone and stood there and ordered it in front of the clown, er, clerk, that told me that. Had it 2 days later. Besides the grinder, included was a brief owners manual and a 6mm hex key for the arbor. One thing I noticed, since it was about 40 degrees in my barn, was that the power cord isn't of the typical plastic that gets stiff in the cold. It was very flexible, and wasn't a concern while I was grinding. Minor point, but it points to the quality of the tool. Installed a type 29 60-grit flapper wheel, which centered in the large guard exactly. The 6mm hex key works to tighten and loosen grinding wheels very well, no spanner wrench needed (or included). Started work on a piece of rusty angle iron. Sparks flew, and it cleaned up that steel nice and bright. Plenty of power. Very easy to control, and the balance is superb. It is designed for a type 27 wheel, uses a type 29 perfectly and safely, and will probably do a type 1 as well. I'm happy I spent the extra $30 to moved up to this model instead of the 4012, well worth the upgrade. ... show more

I can't imagine why this doesn't come with any blades. Kind of a terrible gift if the recipient has to buy more parts to be able to use it. Quality is good though.

I’ve used DEWALT tools for years and I’ve always had good luck with them. It came time for me to get a newer grinder so I gave this one a chance. I love the lock on feature as it makes using it for extended periods way more comfortable. I also prefer using the Allen key to remove the grinding wheels. The easy of changing the guard and also removing it is much better than the old style guard. My only gripe is I wish it had a spot to hold the included Allen key, but that is the only issue I have with this! ... show more
