  • Great grinders.
I have 5 or 6 of these. A few other brands. I come back to these always. Size weight power ratio is good

  • Perfect, strong, easy to maneuver
This grinder has the best control mechanism. Grinding tile or metal requires care and precision. I am a woman with small hands and other grinders I have used felt bulky in my hands and worst of all, I could hardly reach the control buttons while grinding at the same time, causing a dangerous situation and making it difficult to have precision. This strong medium sized grinder makes grinding fun! The lever controls are accessible and safe to manage. I've cut porcelain tile, cement board and tin roofing, and cast iron bars. It's a breeze. Love it! ... show more

  • 65 Mustang Steel Cutter
I've never owned or used an angle grinder so I trusted DeWalt's reputation for quality for my first purchase of one. I needed to cut the steel roof off of a 1965 Mustang and DeWalt's DWE4120N made the job easy. Excellent balance, operation, and safety. 5 Star!

  • A versatile, compact, powerful tool that will make you rethink going completely cordless
I purchased an Amazon Warehouse (returned condition) unit and am grateful for the excellent value I received. The grinder arrived in exactly the condition described. It worked flawlessly upon first use and each time thereafter. I'm highly impressed with the cutting power the compact grinder generates. With speeds reaching approximately 21,000 rpm, I was able to combine the unit with a 5" diamond cutting disc to run through 7/8" high-carbon steel sheets like a knife through butter. The disc installation, locking & safety mechanisms are well designed and made with quality materials. Having used inferior grinders in the past, I appreciated the upgrade to this Dewalt model. Thank you, Amazon! 😁 ... show more

  • Some annoying parts
I just opened this up and set it up, so I won’t address how it grinds, but here are some out of the box annoyances. 1. The manual is terrible. It doesn’t show how to use the hex wrench to change cutters. It doesn’t explain how to put the shroud on. 2. The Dewalt website has a FAQ about the two items mentioned above. It includes a link to a video. The video has no voiceover, just annoying music. The video does very briefly show how to resolve these problems, The tool is advertised as allowing “tool-free” blade changes. Fortunately they include the hex wrench (a tool) that is required to change cutters. Two of the four holes in the nut that holds the cutter onto the spindle fit the hex wrench. The wrench turns the spindle while you must hold the spindle lock on the other side. It’s a discrete black button that must be pressed to lock the spindle. The safety shroud is a good idea but poorly executed. There is a short, stiff steel lever that pulls a pawl out of a one of a series of square holes that are around the inner ring of the shroud. They allow the shroud to be rotated to wherever you want, but if you rotate it too far it will disengage and the shroud falls off. It’s a beast to get back on. Like the video depicts, you have to have the open side of the shroud facing away from the tool while depressing the painfully small lever. Then you might be able to wiggle it back on. ... show more

  • Powerful
Been using a battery Ryobi and the power difference is surprising. I know it's not a fair comparison but this DeWalt is extremely powerful. Love it.

  • Best of the best
I have been using this grinder for years. If I'm happy with it, I'll keep using it. I have never had one fail or wear out. I am a working foreman in a metal shop. I love the paddle switch. I have bought this multiple times only because I keep buying them to give as a gift to other shop employees who have demonstrated company loyalty. This is a go to piece of equipment. ... show more
