Tougher, more versitile
Style: Drill/driver bare tool
I use my drivers hard. Usually the trans fails. This one is way tougher, 3 speeds, weighs more but that is the tougher mechanism. Worth the money if you are a serious screwer.

This drill is a beast. Tons of Torque!

I bought this to raise my popup camper roof. I had an older Dewalt non brushless hammer drill but it didn't have the torque to raise the popup camper roof all the way. This drill doesn't have a problem. I can stop 1/2 way through raising the roof and then restart and it has no problems. This drill has enough torque you must put the side attachment on and hold on really good or you will snap your wrist. I've been super impress with power of this drill.

Mighty Mite!

Delightfully surprised by how much power it delivers for such a compact size. It's just a little longer than my 708 Atomic, still under 7 inches, and easily twice as powerful. And not a whole lot heavier. Both feel like half the weight of the bigger DeWalt 20V "brush-hogs" I've been using all this time. It's noisy with a little bang and clatter that I'm not used to with my other DeWalts, but not in a cheap-quality way. It's just from all the torque and superb gearing in this thing - everything jumps to when you hit the trigger, like firing a big-bore handgun. Its 1st day outta the box I used it to take apart an outdoor work bench; about 3 dozen 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 inch deck screws anchored for 15 years. Drilled performed flalwessly and moreso since then as well. Very bright work light when needed, after-market batteries readily available , 1/2 inch chuck, 3 speeds, excellent grip and handle, brushless, and I already said tons of torque. What's not to like? Maybe no bit-holder, but I found a 4-pk for about $6 here at AMZ. Love this drill - my big-butt 5lb DeWalts may feel neglected for a while. As a 3-decade user of Dewalt cordless drills, I hardily endorse the 991B.

Mostly good

I'm on my 2nd one in four or five years. The torque control quit working some time back, and now the chuck appears to be giving up the ghost. Still, a decent tool that sees a lot of use.
