    • This is a very nice, powerful drill/driver, especially for the size.
This replaced a Rockwell 20v drill/driver that I really liked. This one works better all the way around. The clutch is far better, smoother with real range. The light is bright enough to really be useful. Plenty of power for most jobs short of using a 1/2 inch plug in drill. I don't think that it would handle a 4 inch hole saw except on low speed but I haven't tested it that hard. The compact form is really nice for getting into tighter spaces and it's not terribly heavy. The batteries last a surprisingly long time, even in cold weather. This is a far better tool than the Rockwell was (no longer available) and worth every penny. ... show more

I've had this for a while now and it's a little beast. The compact size allows me to comfortably handle it even in small spaces where I need to drive in screws or nails. The flashlight makes it easier to see in dark spaces while you're working. The kit comes with everything you need. I'm just a normal guy that does home repairs and average things around the house, but this is a great option and exceeds my needs. To save you some grief, shuffling through all the model numbers and functionality that DeWalt offers, let me tell you... if you're just a simple DIYer, this one is what you want. And even for the professional contractors, this one will get the job done, lemme tell you.. . Unless you're drilling into concrete on a daily basis, this is the daddy of all drills. I've got corded drills for tackling major work, so I was only after a few options when looking for a cordless drill. I knew I wanted a DeWalt, but otherwise, I sought a steel shank; plenty of power, super small size; long-lasting battery life, the versatility to handle metal work as well as wood, but also auto repair jobs, which is often. Yet, the kicker for me was the LED lighting. It's awesomely bright. You can't beat that with a stick, especially working on vehicles. Add all that up and it's a super value in my opinion.     • Tons of power in a small package
I recently both the 10 tool pack of Dewalt tools, upgrading from an older Ryobi kit. There’s a lot of good stuff in there, but the bluetooth speaker is trash, and might be awhile before I use some of the various cutting tools but it was a good value to me. I picked up this drill as well as the big impact driver because I wanted the more compact brushless drill “just because”. I will say, I’m super happy with it, it’s my default when I grab the drill and has had plenty of power. I like the chuck on it a lot as well, makes it easy to really lock down drill bits and prevent them from getting stuck or spinning in the chuck. ... show more

I wish the slow speed was a bit more controllable - it is faster than my other drivers, but it also lasts much longer than my other drivers and weighs less. clutch works fine. Very happy with it. I have a Bosch, and an old Ryobi that refuses to die; but I always reach for the DeWalt.
