It also offers Active Vibration Control which significantly reduces vibration and increases user comfort and productivity; a Perform and Protect feature from DEWALT. This rotary hammer gives 2.1 Joules impact energy which provides corded power without the cord. It also has a retractable utility hook for convenient hanging and storage. This is a bare tool item - battery sold separately. Includes: 360 Degree Side Handle, Depth Rod, Retractable Utility Hook. DEWALT 20V MAX Portable Band Saw, Tool Only (DCS371B) The DEWALT DCS371M1 20V MAX lithium-ion band saw (bare tool) features a 2-1/2" cut capacity, and the ability to cut up to 2" SCH 40 pipe. The centered handle position provides superior balance and ergonomics and allows for more accurate cuts and less user fatigue. A LED Work Light with 20 second delay illuminates dark work surfaces for accurate cutting. This unit has an integrated hang hook which allows users to hang the saw without damaging the front handle or base. The special blade tracking adjustment increases blade life by providing better blade tracking, and the tool less blade changing lever loosens blade tension to allow for easy blade changes. The dual bearing blade guide rollers provide increased durability in the blade support system. This band saw also has an ergonomic soft grip back handle which provides the user with comfort and flexibility. Common applications include: conduit up to 2" dia., 1-5/8" Unistrut, SCH 40 pipe up to 2", threaded rod, square and rectangular tubing, and angle iron. This worked great for our project. We were drilling 8-10" holes in concrete blocks. This type of work was easy for the hammer drill, but did use batteries much faster. We were getting between 8-10 holes per battery which does align with the 92 - 2" holes. My biggest mistake was not bringing a charger on day 1. Adding the dust extractor would have probably saved battery life as we drilled deeper than needed even though we were blowing holes out. ... show more

I have purchased several different tools from Dewalt to use at work, the versatility of the batteries being able to use on every tool makes my job easier. I do a lot of small projects so the versatility of tools from Dewalt makes it easier and the fact that I only have to carry 1 or 2 batteries to operate 4 0r 5 different tools at a time saves me time and trips carrying tools from project to office and the fact that I don't have to worry about having electricity helps.     • Quality replacement for corded drill

Had a Bosch corded unit stolen off a job site and decided to go with this 20v unit to go along with my other 20v tools. This of course fits into the 20v stable with absolutely no issues. I've done quite a bit of work pre-drilling for Tap-Cons in concrete, digging with an SDS paddle bit and some other odds and ends and the battery holds up well while delivering consistent power, like most of the 20v DeWalt lineup. Every true hammer drill I've ever owned is heavy. This isn't an exception, but compared to others it is the lightest I've owned, which is nice given I don't feel like I've sacrificed any power.     • Easy drilling into concrete

I got tired of wasting a lot of time trying to drill into concrete with a hammer drill. Those are only okay if you only have one or two small holes to drill. The bits wear out fast, though, and if it's deep, you are standing there for a long time with a dull masonry bit. I went through that while mounting some electrical boxes and conduit along a basement wall with Tapcon screws. But that's a hammer drill. As my drill bit and my patience wore out, I decided to invest in something better. This is a rotary hammer. It's in another league from your old hammer drill. This thing uses "SDS Plus" bits. This things puts holes in concrete as easily as your regular drill puts holes in wood. Really. It's easy. It's fast. If you need to mount things on a concrete or brick wall, this is the way to do it. Dewalt makes two cordless SDS Plus rotary hammers. This is not as powerful, nor as expensive, as the other one, but for me it has been perfect. It is shockingly easy to drill into concrete. And this isn't recently poured concrete. This is 20 or 30 years old concrete, which is about as hard as it gets. ... show more
