I got this dewalt 12-inch miter saw mainly for some home projects and occasional work at the job site. it’s pretty handy and cuts through wood smoothly, which is nice. the single bevel feature helps with angled cuts without much hassle. i was pleased with how stable it feels during use, and it’s not overly heavy to move around. however, i did notice that the dust collection could be better—sometimes sawdust still gets everywhere. also, the power 15-amp motor handles bigger cuts okay, but not as fast as higher-end models. overall, it’s a decent choice if you’re looking for something reliable and fairly easy to operate for standard tasks. 😊 ... show more

    • More features than I need for a great price. Two year follow-up .
It is easy to fall into the trap of trying to buy the best tool because you’re not sure whether or not you need all the options. For the most part, I’m using wood to fix up things around the farm. occasionally, I will make wooden decorations. This saw has everything I was looking for, it is well-built, and it performs very well. When I was shopping for the tool I thought I might need the laser. I have no need for the laser. I adjust the cut with the power off, I drop the blade on the wood and I make sure that the widest part of the blade is where I wanna make my cut. I don’t need a laser to do that. I found the device easy to adjust, and it came with a single wood clamp. I bought an additional wood clamp so that I could clamp the wood on both sides and keep my hands free of the work. I have used this on two projects so far and I’m very happy with my purchase. I do not have the buyer regret that I wish I had bought the saw with more options. Two years later. I still love the saw and use it often. The little dust bag is not very useful. I fashioned an attachment to my dust collector. I bought a solid wood plate to replace the plastic (kerf, miter, throat) plate. I damaged the yellow plastic plate when I was cutting metal that got hot. ... show more
