Purchased to give my elderly 18 lb mutt a safe outdoor space, as I rent a house with unfenced yard. Because he's a little guy and not the gung-ho "mail carrier terrorist" he once was, this is plenty sturdy enough as a boundary for him. I wouldn't trust it for larger dogs or those with a high prey / chase drive. I had a hard time with some parts of set-up; the ground is rather uneven in my yard and some of the stakes are simply too short to drive deep enough into the ground to be secure. Some of them will sink only 1/2" into the dirt. If the stakes were 2" longer, they would work on almost any yard. As it is, these are really only perfect if your yard looks like a putting green. I'll have to purchase some garden stakes to reinforce certain areas. Either way, your life will be easier with a rubber mallet to drive the stakes. I'm bummed they don't seem to sell individual panels on this listing, but the manufacturer has some nice-looking wall anchors as well as individual panels available direct. I'm planning to get both. Overall, my biggest regret is that I didn't get this sooner for my dog. He loves being able to come and go from the yard as he pleases, and I think with proper maintenance this fence will last plenty long enough to be well worth the price.

This has been wonderful. I have a invisible fence for my yard. I am caring for my daughter's dog who is very skittish. This fence took the stress away. I stood on my deck and he would run down and do his thing. I could feel comfortable that I wouldn't loose him. The fence was simple to put up looks nice. I live in an HOA so will have to take the fence down when the dog leaves. When they visit we will put it back. Folds well and the gates work well. Great purchase for me.

I wasn’t sure I would like this pen. I ordered 48 panels. I thought I would be getting panels and two gates. I got 45 panels which included six gates. Was shorted 3 panels. This made a really large pen. I am 73 and it took me a while to get it together because I have a bad back. I just sat up a couple every day. It was not hard just that my abilities are limited. It is very secure but still easy to move. I am absolutely glad I got this pen. The balls on top are better than the ones that have a hook. A friend of mine has one and it looks almost like this but the metal is thinner all around and has a hook instead of ball on the piece that slides in to connect panels.

We purchased the 16 panel set to take our dog camping with us. We will be trying it out for the first time this weekend and will update this review after we actually use it. It seems to be very well made and easy to set up. UPDATE: We took this to the lake with us for the first time and set up was great. Sixteen panels was a great size for our medium size dog. We defiantly recommend this product.

I bought one set of 8 32" high panels to use to make a yard for my dogs while RVing. The reviews were promising, thanks to those who posted videos, very helpful and accurate. The hinged panels made set up so easy! Immediately after setting up at my weekend destination, I went online and ordered a 2nd pen so I would not have to use my traditional wire xpens anymore. The FXW is sturdy, stands up without zig-zagging like the wire xpen, doesn't blow over in wind, even stands up to my young dog who could easily push over the wire xpens. Even if ground is too hard to push stakes in, this pen is still very sturdy and stays in place. The door is great, now that I've learned to step over the threshold ;-) Just push it shut and it latches (I just have to remember to push it all the way! Different routine compared to a clip on the wire xpens). I wanted some extra panels so I ordered a set of single panels...I wanted 4 but it was most economical to buy the set of 8 so that's what I did. And now I have 3 doors :) Packaging was super but one panel had minor damage to it. I contacted the seller and they are sending me a replacement panel, no need to return the bent one. Outstanding customer service, which is very much appreciated!! These panels are bigger and take up more storage space in RV than wire xpens (my storage space in my small RV is very limited) but they are so worth it, I have added a cargo rack to the back of my RV to carry them on our trips.
