  • Nice shed. Worth the money.
Color: Brown Size: 5x3 FT Set name: Shed
Worth every dollar!! My nephew put this shed together by himself in a day. It would have been even less time except he added a wood floor base. He said it went together quite easily. I have it on my porch for easy access since I'm 74 yrs old. It keeps out the rain and critters from things I need to store. Good item!! ... show more

  • 8x10 Assembly
Color: Gray Size: 10x8 FT Set name: Shed
Just finished assembling 8x10 unit. Unlike other units this unit is actually slightly bigger than 8 x10. We made a base 9 x 11 which worked out well. You definitely need a base. The base pictured used 2x6 PT for outer frame and 2x4 PT on 2 ft centers for cross member supports. Used 4x8x 7/16 OSB for the floor. Did a water seal on the OSB before assembling the shed since it isn’t PT. You definitely need a base if you aren’t assembling on concrete in order for all the holes to line up. Make sure the bottom frame of the shed is squared by measuring from diagonal corners to make sure equal distance. Secure the bottom shed frame to the base to keep it squared during assembly. The instructions were good and generally went together without significant issues. You’ll need to be careful attaching the top frame. The top frame on each side has a groove instead of individual holes so you’ll need to careful with the corners in order for roof panels to line up correctly. You may need to make adjustments in process. We managed to assemble the entire shed with only drilling two holes when attaching the final trim piece as the holes were off father than could be adjusted. Half the panels have a protective coating. After removing the film from one panel we chose to leave the rest covered as it took about 20 minutes to peel the film off the first panel. We’ll deal with the film a little at a time in the future. You can use an electric screw driver but it needs to have a torque adjustment. Some of the screws can strip if you aren’t careful but there about 450-500 screws which is more than we wanted to do by hand. We chose to apply dab of acrylic seal on each to the exposed roof panel screws as the included plastic washers didn’t cover some of the holes entirely due to alignment. It rained the day after we finished and the inside remained dry without leaks so the deal was a good choice. You definitely need two people for assembly of some of work. I recommend having a folding table to layout all the hardware to keep from having to continuously bend over to grab screws. Also recommend removing everything from the two boxes and laying them out to keep from having to continuously dig through the boxes to find the piece or pieces you are looking for. Actual assembly time with two people was about 13 hours over three days. Leveling the ground and assembling the base was about 4 hours. We had all the base lumber cut to size at Home Depot so we could start assembling as soon as we got home. You may question the the rigidity of the unit as you are assembling but once everything is completed the unit is pretty solid, more than I anticipated. Overall we are satisfied and felt the unit went together pretty easily. ... show more

  • Great shed for the money but not perfect.
Color: Brown Size: 5x3 FT Set name: Shed
I was really debating whether to give this 3 or 4 stars, but here's my experience with it. First of all, it's not actually 5 feet by 3 feet. The description does mention this but I was still surprised to find how small it was once I started building it. It's actually about ½a foot smaller in each direction. I found it fairly easy and straightforward to assemble but as an auto mechanic I'm pretty good at figuring things out by looking at them. I agree with some of the other reviews that the assembly instructions are vague and somewhat unclear. It wasn't too hard for me to figure out what goes where but I could see how it could be difficult for those who aren't as inclined to building things without clear instructions. Overall I am happy with it even though it only fits one of the 2 shelf units I had intended to put in it. Be sure to assemble it on a VERY flat surface! My yard is mostly a steep hill. I dug an area out of the hillside for it and put down wood as a base but I had a hard time lining up the roof panels because the ground wasn't as flat as it needed. I ended up drilling new mounting holes to install the rear section of the roof panels to make up for the uneven ground. The biggest problem I noticed after it was assembled was when the first rain came and it leaked water inside from the rear section of the roof panels down the back wall, but I don't know that this is a defect in the design of the shed as much as the trouble I had lining up roof panels due to the uneven topography and the fact that I built it with the back of the shed against a cut-out hillside which greatly hindered access to the back of the shed during assembly. I also found that the door latch didn't line up perfectly when closing the door but, again, I think this had more to do with the uneven surface rather than the shed itself. In a nutshell, I would say that this is a good solid shed at a great price. If you have a very flat yard it should go together well but if you need to grade things I would suggest making sure it is very level before assembling it and I would also recommend a very solid flat foundation for it. ... show more

  • Pain to assemble, needs touch up work, decent quality shed
Color: Brown Size: 10x8 FT Set name: Shed
Alright so got a bit of ground to cover here. I’ll preface this by saying that if you’re assembling this and you don’t have much experience with assembly, the instructions are a nightmare. I consider myself pretty handy with tools. Overall, between building the platform and assembling the shed, I’d say give yourself about 10-12 hours to get this all done if you’re solo. After getting everything assembled just a couple days ago, I now have water dripping into my shed. All plastic washers were used that were needed, but the issue was that some holes were not lining up properly. I will be going over what I can reach with silicone to try and seal up any orifices, but this is already a red flag for me. There is plenty of storage capacity, which is a huge plus, but the materials are so thin and inexpensive that you cannot count on hanging anything off of it. If you do, use command strips and only hang very light things. Alternatively, make/purchase free-standing shelves. I originally bought this back in October of last year. I started assembly as soon as it arrived, but discovered it was missing crucial parts to finish the framing. Those took a couple weeks to receive, and by the time I could dedicate more time to the project, it began to snow/freeze. Putting together metal anything outside in freezing temperatures wasn’t my idea of a good time. Lastly, the doors don’t close properly. I’ve tried messing with the hinges, even tried bending framing in a way to account for the mis-alignment, but simply put, it’s just a hair too snug and about a 1/4 inch off, which is enough to allow me to shut the door without lifting the left side. There’s likely a better quality shed out there to purchase folks, but if you’re not worried about stuff taking on light rain, this will do the trick, I just don’t expect the platform to last long due to the fact that I can’t climb on the roof to seal all the seams and stop the water intrusion. ... show more

  • Good for the time being.
Color: Brown Size: 5x3 FT Set name: Shed
You definitely get what you paid for. The quality is flimsy so definitely not something for long term. The holes didn't line up. It was just a mess to put together and it took all day. Don't get me started on the plastic wrap. I just left it on. To much of a hassle to take off. I definitely will not buy this again. ... show more

  • Pretty great little shed.
Color: Brown Size: 6x4 FT Set name: Shed
I was worried this wasn’t going to hold up. But man. it’s been great. we used pavers as the base. We haven’t had any leakage issues. It’s not bug proof but we weren’t expecting it to be. It’s a chicken house right now and it has done its job for sure. My only complaint is that the metal does dent easily. ... show more

  • Nice idea, horrible execution
Color: Gray Size: 10x8 FT Set name: Shed
This shed has major flaws. First, the screw holes don't line up. We had to keep many of them loose, tightening only once things were as good as they were going to get. The plastic washers don't even cover the misaligned holes, so when it rains...you guessed it ... water everywhere. We will try to remedy with caulk, but the water even seeps in at the bottom on our wood foundation. Second, the instructions say 2-3 hours to put together with 2 people. Ha. It took 2 of us from 8am-8pm to get it up. Instructions were easy to follow, and I'm very mechanically inclined. It's just that there are 45 steps, some of which have multiple pieces to it. Third, there's a clear, extremely thin plastic layer covering almost every piece that is worse than peeling a sunburn from your back. It just breaks off constantly. We ended up leaving most of it on, so we'll see what happens long term there. We just wanted a secure, dry place to store garden items and tools. This is NOT it, and I'd return it if I could. Leaving as 2 stars because the size is good, and it looks nice. ... show more
