I was nervous about ordering an electric lift chair online, sight unseen, but finally chose this one. Absolutely amazed at the speed of shipment/delivery and the quality of this chair. Outer box had some small tears and scuffing (from transportation) so I checked the chair carefully and found it was very well packaged to prevent damage. Upon opening I was impressed with the look and feel of serious quality. Assembly was easy and clearly described in the instructions and only took about 10 minutes beginning to end with no tools required. This chair is a gift for my 86 year old father who recently had open heart surgery and he is also impressed and very happy with it. Padding is firm but very comfortable. Look is elegant and expensive. The upholstery looks like leather but is not as cold and "slippery" as leather would be. We all like the texture and feel of the material. Electric lift/recline function is super quiet and smooth and we are very pleased with the 180 degree recline. I'm especially happy with the emergency battery backup (uses two standard nine volt batteries) as we occasionally have short to intermediate power outages where we live. No complaints about this chair whatsoever. One constructive comment though. The USB charging port is mounted in the end of the handset controller. This means if you plug anything in to charge you will "drag" the cord around with the handset as you raise or lower the chair. I think it would have been smarter to install the charge port on the side of the chair instead of in the end of the control handset. Other than that minor inconvenience I highly recommend this chair and seller. This is one of the best purchases I have made. Two months later.... Still very happy with this chair however, two months after purchase the recline function quit working. Examination revealed a wire going into one of the control motors underneath the chair had broken off from inside the motor. Turns out a small strain relief plug had been left off in the factory allowing the wire to flex and break. A simple "accident" in the factory that could happen to anyone. Customer service responded to my inquiry immediately and sent a complete motor assembly for repair. Installation was pretty simple and the problem is solved. Just want to say this company really stands behind their product. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. This type of customer service is hard to come by. Highly recommend the company and their chair.

Devaise really hit the jackpot when they produced this Lift Chair. It is not only a beautiful chair but is extremely well built and is extremely comfortable. I researched at at least 100 other chairs before I decided on this one. A very wise decision on my part. I could not have made a better choice. The price was very reasonable, and I feel more so than other chairs of this caliber. This chair is a “lay flat” chair and that is a big bonus. The material is very well put together and very soft.I would be remiss if I did not compliment the outstanding Customer Service Department. I had a very minor issue and they not only willingly resolved my problem but did so in a very timely manner. I could not speak more highly of them. You won’t find any nicer people to deal with. Because of the way this chair is produced, I expect to enjoy it for many years to come. You will not regret your purchase.

My mother enjoys the chair, and especially the lift function, very much. Pros: comfortable and very quiet battery backup! attractive Cons: it's a fairly large recliner, almost too large for someone under 5'6" who cannot easily reposition themselves once seated the graphics on the remote buttons are difficult to read Both "cons" are minor and easily worked around or compensated for.

My husband was having veinous insuffiency and lymphedema, had to elevate his feet higher than his heart. This is the best chair for him as it lays flat, and the dual motors allow more choice of position. I researched many before purchasing and feel I made the best choice and the price is right.

I bought this chair because it was the only one I could find that had dual motors and a battery backup. It takes 2 nine volt batteries for the battery backup feature. So if you purchase this chair be sure to get the batteries first. I'm disabled so if the electricity ever goes out and I'm in the reclined position then I would be stuck until the power came back on. I really wanted a cloth fabric in beige or brown but they didn't have any fabric covered chairs like this model. It's not as comfortable as my big poofy recliner but I can live with it. I also bought a recliner cover because laying on the leather chair gets hot. The foot rest doesn't go up high enough for me. I'm 5 feet and my legs swell, so I need to elevate them. I have to use a pillow under my feet when the foot rest is up and that still isn't high enough. I have to sleep in my recliner because I can't lay flat or on my sides because of my disability. If you are a tall person, then I would think your feet would be hanging beyond the foot rest. I don't know about that, I could be wrong. Overall, I'm pleased with the chair. It is nice to be lifted to stand as it was getting very difficult for me to get out of my other recliner.

Love the chair. Comfortable, sturdy, roomy, and the electronics work like a charm. Easy to assemble (I'm 80, and disabled) and it has wheels so you can reposition it easily. Looks to be quite rugged and durable, and I love the warm brown color and the smooth faux leather fabric. Nothing negative to comment on so far...

Item originally came with damaged wheel. We were able to fix it with a crow bar and a few washers from the garage. The company was great and is giving me a partial refund. Other than that minor shipping issue the chair is great, comfortable, and very easy to put together.
