I was nervous about ordering an electric lift chair online, sight unseen, but finally chose this one. Absolutely amazed at the speed of shipment/delivery and the quality of this chair. Outer box had some small tears and scuffing (from transportation) so I checked the chair carefully and found it was very well packaged to prevent damage. Upon opening I was impressed with the look and feel of serious quality. Assembly was easy and clearly described in the instructions and only took about 10 minutes beginning to end with no tools required. This chair is a gift for my 86 year old father who recently had open heart surgery and he is also impressed and very happy with it. Padding is firm but very comfortable. Look is elegant and expensive. The upholstery looks like leather but is not as cold and "slippery" as leather would be. We all like the texture and feel of the material. Electric lift/recline function is super quiet and smooth and we are very pleased with the 180 degree recline. I'm especially happy with the emergency battery backup (uses two standard nine volt batteries) as we occasionally have short to intermediate power outages where we live. No complaints about this chair whatsoever. One constructive comment though. The USB charging port is mounted in the end of the handset controller. This means if you plug anything in to charge you will "drag" the cord around with the handset as you raise or lower the chair. I think it would have been smarter to install the charge port on the side of the chair instead of in the end of the control handset. Other than that minor inconvenience I highly recommend this chair and seller. This is one of the best purchases I have made. Two months later.... Still very happy with this chair however, two months after purchase the recline function quit working. Examination revealed a wire going into one of the control motors underneath the chair had broken off from inside the motor. Turns out a small strain relief plug had been left off in the factory allowing the wire to flex and break. A simple "accident" in the factory that could happen to anyone. Customer service responded to my inquiry immediately and sent a complete motor assembly for repair. Installation was pretty simple and the problem is solved. Just want to say this company really stands behind their product. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. This type of customer service is hard to come by. Highly recommend the company and their chair.

I should have paid attention to the most recent reviews. I'm guessing the product has gone down in quality. It does not lift your legs nearly at all. It's very slow. Put together, I sat on it and when I went to stand up I slid onto the floor. It does not stand you up safely put you in an angle making you slide off. Had to call the EMTs to get me off the floor! Leg rest is too short and it made my calves numb. Dual motors probably not the best idea. The back portion is supposed to be comfortable if you flatten it so you can sleep. I did not find that to be the case. Padding on the arms is too soft and not supportive when you hold onto them to stand. And you have to stand using the portion of the seat that sets you back so you don't fall off. I have written two detailed emails to Devaise and they keep writing back and asking me for videos of the problems. Do they expect me to take a video of me sliding onto the floor? The chair is also not very solid and slides around. I have asked for them to send someone to pick up the chair and take it back so I get a full refund. It's been over 30 days and I'm wondering if the warranty still holds even though I paid for the insurance. They claim AMAZON has "removed it" from their listings. I was assured by AMAZON that it would all be taken care of and though they apologize and the texts and emails, nothing has been done. I am in my upper 70s and pretty handicapped with mobility issues. There is no way I can take the chair apart and pack it up again. Plus the second part of the delivery was left in front of the house instead of being put on the porch and got wet in the rain, so the box had to be thrown out. I don't mind, it's been a nightmare and it's still going on because nobody has done anything to rectify the situation. I will never ever buy a product that cost almost $1000 online without trying it out. Until I get my refund, I can't buy a different one. Update: device wrote and said they would pay for the repair of whatever was broken and give me $150. I told him nothing was broken that the chair is faulty because of the design. Although I called the day I got it to get it out of my house nobody ever came and now they’re telling me I’ve had it too long and I have to keep it and they will give me a $300 refund which is less than half of the purchase price not even counting the $109 for the insurance. They said I had been using it well I did sit in it once or twice but it scared me to death so I didn’t use it. AMAZON assured me it would be taken care of and I would get a full refund and they would remove it and none of that ever happened. Now I have written them at least four emails and they just don’t seem to be going through and they keep writing the same one and saying do you want refund or not . I’ll take it because I want to get them off my back and I will probably donate the chair because I want it out of my house.

I was somewhat concerned because every time I raised or lowered the chair I would hear a clicking sound as if the chair was struggling with my 325 pounds even though it has a weight capacity of 450 pounds. I emailed Devaise a couple of times and called once to ask if this was normal and never got a response ergo the Three Star rating. I eventually discovered that if the back of the chair is completely in the upright position it does not click (so far anyway). Still clicks sometimes.

Devaise really hit the jackpot when they produced this Lift Chair. It is not only a beautiful chair but is extremely well built and is extremely comfortable. I researched at at least 100 other chairs before I decided on this one. A very wise decision on my part. I could not have made a better choice. The price was very reasonable, and I feel more so than other chairs of this caliber. This chair is a “lay flat” chair and that is a big bonus. The material is very well put together and very soft.I would be remiss if I did not compliment the outstanding Customer Service Department. I had a very minor issue and they not only willingly resolved my problem but did so in a very timely manner. I could not speak more highly of them. You won’t find any nicer people to deal with. Because of the way this chair is produced, I expect to enjoy it for many years to come. You will not regret your purchase.
