I have no dislikes or complaints with Detroit Axle brakes! This is the third set of performance brake rotors and pads from Detroit Axle that I've installed, each set for a different vehicle, with pleasing results! The coating on the rotors keeps them from rusting and helps the brake pads break in quietly with minimal dust. Stopping power is greatly improved and they dissipate heat quickly. The brake rotors are left and right specific. The brake pads come complete with installation hardware, wear indicators (squealers) and abutment clips, where applicable for application. Great buy! These went on my 2016 Elantra. As of this review I've put about 32,000 miles on them. 90% of my driving is on the highway. Braking power is only slightly less than it was at 10,000. They've held up really well, especially for the price. They also just look cool! My brother is a mechanic and he installed them for me, he likes Detroit Axle so that's a good first sign for me. They are a bit noisy for the first 5,000 miles. But I can't complain, they do the job well. Had them inspected at 30,000 miles and the mechanic said they're likely good for another 15,000. Good price and they last fairly well. My biggest two concerns. ... show more

Wasn't sure about these parts, called my cousin who was familiar and he recommended them. The people that installed them though I got a good deal, liked the thickness of the pads, rotor looked good, and stopped "on a dime when" installed. They are good looking parts, I like them. They definitely do what they are intended to do and bring you to a stop. My only issue is the noise- the "squeeking/ whistling" when you stop. Maybe that will go away.     • It's all there, cost wise so far a no brainer
So far works great. Just be sure to burn in the pads correctly. Go to power stop web site. Also the right left could be marked better it is in small numbers and letters on edge. All parts to do the job are in the box. New hardware pads and rotors. In my case the car I was working on a hyandu Elantra, requires a piston compressor that spins it in to the calipers. I just went to AutoZone and borrowed the tool. After burn in there was a wurring noise on slow down but that went away within 50 miles. The car had really good brakes to start, but now has excellent brakes. Ceramic pads for my car were going to be around $100. But this package with 4 rotors and ceramic pads plus hardware was only $120. So it was a no brainer. I had 53000 on the car and was about 1/4 " away from the screacher in the rear, so time for pads. Will update on how the wear and dust is in a couple of months. Update at 60,000 miles now so 7000 miles, No dust on wheels and pads are quite and car stops on a dime. Might get a set for my jeep. ... show more

    • GOD AWFUL
I ORDERED the drilled slotted rotors and brake kit and then had to send this note to them after requesting a refund 6 months later due to the suffering from this product. I have received an order from your company and from the very beginning of the installation, the brakes were squeaking and making a vibrating noise...I am a master Mechanic and figured I would try this product due to the good pricing. The grinding and horrible sound coming from the front end have been horrible and have not stopped at all but only worsened. I removed them to look everything over and to see if the installation was wrong or there was an issue but everything done mechanically was perfect. Your product has cost me a lot of time and a major disappointment as this was done for my FIANCE for her car which she won't even drive now due to the horrible sounds coming from the front end. So today I am forced to spend a lot of money to repair this issue. YOUR PRODUCT IS AWFUL. - SHAD ... show more
