This pad/rotor set is a great value, and works great. For $100 you get pads and rotors shipped to your door - I can't even get a set of rotors turned for that price, so it's a tremendous value. Install is easy, just a few bolts on each side, and those fiddly little brake pad retainer clips. Hardest part is bleeding the brakes. After install they felt a little weak - so I did some 70-30 stops, got them nice and hot, and then they started grabbing hard, with lots of initial bite, they feel just like OEM. All in all, great fit, totally silent, no clunk or squeak, and they even include brake grease (don't forget to lubricate the backings and sliders!). Great quality and value, I'd highly recommend these.

Received in good order, well packaged for shipping. New pins for pad retention measured 6 mm VS 6.3mm diameter for old pins, but used them anyway, they are not load bearing. The retainer wires were not of adequate stiffness and diameter, in my opinion. I reused the old ones. Surface of one new disc had a piece of soft metal embedded in it, when picked out it appeared to be lead; left a pit in the surface of the disc but did not affect performance. The cast iron of the discs probably has a lead component to improve machining and malleability and this was probably left over from the casting process. The discs are ground finish, dead straight and parallel, The pads seem to be a fairly soft composition, and generous clearances are provided, making easy installation. The pads are flat over the whole surface, with no lead-in-lead-out taper. Pin lube grease is provided. Break-in was easy and fast, no pumping, jumping, squealing, grinding or vibrating. No squealing when reversing. They replaced a troublesome set of Wagner pads and original Toyota discs with one re-grind on them. The original discs had warped and I had re-ground them. That was a mistake-they warped again. The Wagner pads were a mistake as well, they were too hard and never performed without squealing, especially when backing. I think this matched set will provide good service- let you know in 50K miles or so- Good luck!!!! Revised rating to 5 star after a year of operation- still smooth and great stopping power, no SQUEAL WHEN BRAKING WHILE BACKING UP - A GREAT VALUE- THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT- THE PADS MATCHED TO THE DISCS BY THE MANUFACTURER SO THEY SEAT AND RETAIN THEIR SMOOTH STOPPING PROPERTIES!!!!! I WILL BUY THESE AGAIN IN ABOUT 40K MILES.
