First I'll start by saying I am a second-generation ASE Certified mechanic with over 27 years experience myself. These are simply the best brakes you can buy for a daily driver. Detroit Axle should hire me to write instructions to include with these brakes though. These are directional rotors make sure you look at each rotor on the part number there will be an L or an R. Do not clean the new rotors. They come with an anti-rust coating. I want to stress this next part because I've seen a couple of people in the reviews do this, these brakes do fit! They are a thick pad and they do fit snug but they do fit. DO NOT grind them down!!! Make sure the caliper pistons are completely pushed all the way back in the caliper, then take a couple of lug nuts spaced a 180 degrees apart and use them to hold the rotor to the axle flange so the rotor is held up tight and most importantly straight. Next make sure you install the caliper in the right way. on Dodge Rams the left side calipers will slide up into the bracket and then the bottom of the caliper will snap in on the right side the bottom of the caliper slides into the bracket and then the top clicks in. As far as the hardware (the anti rattle clips) there is no difference from front to back, left to right there all the same I mention this because some thought they received the wrong Hardware. However, there is a difference between the top bracket anti-rattle clip and the bottom of the bracket anti-rattle clip. Make sure you use the right ones pay close attention when you take it apart to see which ones go where. Next, as far as squealing after a couple of weeks it's because people did not "bed" them in properly. All ceramic pads need "bedded" in. 99% of the people do not know this. To bed in ceramic pads. After you get the job done take it for a test drive reach 35 miles an hour and then use the brake to slow down gradually then speed back up to 45 miles an hour then use the brake to slow the vehicle down slowly then speed up to 55 miles an hour and then use the brakes to slowly stop the vehicle. Then Park the vehicle allowing the brakes to completely cool before driving it again. Basically, "bedding-in" is running them through some initial heat cycles and then allow the brakes to completely cool down. The squeaking people get is because they put the brakes on and then just start driving the vehicle, a glaze builds up over the ceramic and that's what causes the squealing. So hopefully this review helps people with their install with some phenomenal brakes at a great price!

This fit an 05 2500 cummins. Brake rotors and pads appear to be of good quality. Very nice stopping and quiet. Be sure to collapse front calipers completely, very tight fit but will go on. Shipping was horrible, fedex took an extra week to deliver and never delivered the brake cleaner or fluid. Detroit axle did provide a refund for those items but again, FedEx appears to never fail to deliver late..

5 stars for the product. The parts fit perfect and the truck stops way better. One small issue the hardware parts are made wrong and I had to reuse some of the original. 1 star for the seller. There are no installation or break in instructions included. The rotors are directional and must be installed in the correct position on the truck. I have installed drilled/slotted rotors on several vehicles and they came marked as to the correct side to install them on. No such markings on these. I asked the seller about this and was told to ask a mechanic. The break in for ceramic pads is critical to the operation and must be done properly.

So far I’m impressed with the quality and shipping is always fast, I got 2 separate packages within 2 days of each other, So be aware of that. I’ve used their brakes on 2 other cars and I decided to try them on my 2500 Ram. I had NO issues with install after I cleaned all of the rust from the brackets and no issues with the pads being too tight against the rotors, which I had read in some other comments. I have had some brake noise from the other vehicles I put them on but so far none with the truck, I made sure to put anti seize on all pad slides and caliper to pad contact surfaces to help reduce any harmonics and it seems to be working. They look great behind the wheels with the bright coating, much better than the heavily rusted old ones, hopefully it lasts. I will update once I have some good mileage on them.

So, for the money, excellent brake set. Greatly improved my stopping power. The bad.. as others have mentioned.. incredibly loud squealing. These pads in the kit are not what they could be. But, this is the cheapest full brake set for the money, and the rotors alone are worth the deal. Don't go for the deal if you can't take the squeal. And if you do, be prepared to buy separate pads down the road.
