The only way to really determine if you have a histamine intolerance is to either go on a low histamine diet or try a DAO supplement. If your DAO enzyme levels are reduced, you are likely to experience a wide variety of symptoms, so this supplement helps boost your levels so that you can eliminate the histamines in food. This particular supplement is very small & very portable. The case contains 60 pills, which you dispense by pushing down on the top - a pill will pop out of the bottom, so no fumbling with caps, etc. at the dinner table. You are supposed to take one of these pills right before eating histamine rich foods. The supplement itself seems to be quality, but the issue with these pills is the price. They are nearly $70 which equates to approximately $1 per pill/meal. However, if you only eat them with histamine rich meals, they will last you longer, but that requires you knowing which foods have a lot of histamine. ... show more

I like the packaging and the small pills. Easy to swallow. Easy to travel with. I did think the product was a little pricey. However, I also think it was helpful for me.

This seems to be a good quality DAO blend so far. - Tablets are easy to swallow - No odd aftertaste or ill effects - Price/Value is not great; quite expensive for DAO - Label has GMP stamp and claims 3rd party lab tested (however I haven't seen the COA yet) I haven't had any problem taking these, but I'm only giving 3 stars for now due to price and until I have a chance to view a COA from the company for this product. If/when I receive that, I'll revise my review accordingly. ... show more

    • Does seem to help digest avocado and herbs but...
It does seem to help digest certain foods but it's expensive for the serving. I still had GI issues from hard to digest meats and beans, but this is for specific histamine foods so might not help at all with other digestion issues. Avocados are so good for me but do cause bloating and it did seem to support that some so it's worth it if you eat those foods infrequently or have a lower tolerance of the foods and need this support enough to make the cost worth it. ... show more

The package is innovative and interesting, but hard to get the pills out sometimes. The pill is small and easy to swallow. My daughter has lactose intolerance and IBS, so we tried this pill to see if it would help her. However she didn't notice any changes after she took the pill. It didn't have much of an impact on her. So it may not work if you have lactose intolerance and IBS. The pills are a little pricey as well. ... show more
