  • These are SO GOOD!
Color: Oil-rubbed Bronze Style: Wall Light/2-Pack
It makes no sense how these can be such good quality, and still so inexpensive. I don't know how these can get assembled, finished, packaged, and then shipped from (I'm guessing) China, all for about $7 apiece. The finish and quality of these is terrific, and I don't know why they're so much less expensive than other comparable fixtures. We purchased these for a new home we bought that was in need of updating. I had intended these to be a cheap stopgap fix for a few broken fixtures that were on the outside of the home. Once my old house sold, I planned to use part of the equity to buy some "better" fixtures. Well, the joke's on me: these are wonderful, and we like them better than any of the fixtures we found at the big box stores at any price point. I just ordered more to use in the interior of the house! These really are well made, and they look equally good with farmhouse or industrial decor. The jar is thick glass, and the base appears to be stamped steel. I purchased the oil-rubbed bronze finish, and the finish looks great. It's the "good kind" (I don't know how to describe it), and it's not a cheap ring of gold paint painted over black paint, like I've seen on other inexpensive fixtures. Installation was a snap. All the mounting hardware is included, though you'll likely not need most of it if you are replacing an old fixture. The metal mounting bracket for the wall mount versions SWIVEL, which makes it easy to align the fixtures even if your electrical box isn't perfectly level. My only criticism is that the decorative nuts that secure the fixture to the wall were a gunmetal color, and so didn't quite match the oil-rubbed bronze finish. This is hard to notice, and does not look bad in any case. The ceiling mount fixture uses keyhole slots for the mounting bolts, so this isn't an issue with that model. ... show more

  • Fine if you can find a bulb to fit.
Color: Black Style: Ceiling Light
There are practically no light bulbs that fit these things. Traditional shape LED? Nope. Old incandescent? STILL too big. Forget anything with a dusk to dawn sensor. You would need a medium base candelabra style to fit this thing.

  • WARNING: Not All Bulbs Fit
Color: Oil-rubbed Bronze Style: Ceiling Light
I was excited to get this item (I ordered 3) based on appearance, price and reviews. But apparently, no one is using the latest technology or else the reviews wouldn’t be so stellar. This item will not allow you to use the new higher lumen led bulbs. So if you’re ok with a 60watt bulb with 400 lumens from the ‘80’s, great. But if you’d like to use some of the new 23watt 2610 lumens or greater bulbs, you’re out of luck because the bulb won’t fit in the glass shade. Simple fix. Let’s hope they do. ... show more

  • Nice economical fixture
Color: Oil-rubbed Bronze Style: Wall Light
Not sure why the Oil Rubbed Bronze option is $9 and black is $18 but I went with the $9 option. Looks like the picture so no surprises there. Comes with the wall sconce mounting bracket, two screws to mount it, and two twist-on wire connectors which was pretty handy. I picked this one because it looks like what the old fixture probably was. It only took about half-an-hour to mount it (mainly because the old one for some reason had screws that were twice as long as they needed to be and they put up a fight. And also because I found a surprise in the old fixture. I was wondering why sometime crumpled up paper and stuffed in there but once I got it off and could see it turned out to be part of a paper wasp nest. The rest of it was actually in the electrical box. Yipes. Fortunately it was abandoned, if it wasn't I'm sure I would have noticed that a LOT sooner. Heh. And that was the reason I was replacing the fixture (on a relative's home), the glass bowl was gone (for many years) and it always bugged me seeing that bare (incandescent) bulb sticking out at an odd angle. The wasps must have found the hole going back into the wall and decided they liked it. It wasn't a gap around the edge of the fixture because it looks like someone installed the old fixture while the stucco was still a little soft (more on that later). The only problem I ran into was the "nuts" that hold the fixture to the bracket are closed ended (which looks nice) with rubber gaskets. Because this fixture is a slightly larger diameter the stucco it is sitting on that made the bolts on the bracket a little short. So the obvious solution is to remove a little stucco. Point being, distance from the bracket to the fixture does not have a lot of play because of the closed end nuts. I'm going to put a little caulk around it to keep the moisture (and bugs) out. Added one of the super cool dawn-to-dusk CFL lights Amazon sells ( Philips 429746 Energy Saver Compact Fluorescent Dusk-to-Dawn 14-Watt Twister Light Bulb ) which is a perfect match. It's 14W, 60W equivalent, which matches the fixture spec and most important it fits in the globe. I like those bulbs because they are $6.50 which is a lot less than a fixture with the dawn-to-dusk components. The only issue is I don't think they make a bug-light version of it. I installed one in another outdoor fixture (open on the bottom) three years ago and it's still going. ... show more

  • Great value and looks great after the install.
Color: Black Style: Wall Mount
I recently moved into a used trailer and was just going to replace the missing glass "Jelly Jar" bulb covers until I noticed the front and back fixtures both had cracks that would prevent the cover from staying in securely. I had replaced a back porch light on my parents' home years ago and went looking for a similar light. Since I had been shopping for the bulb covers, Amazon sent me suggestions occasionally, so I had a few to choose from. Lo and behold, their algorithm worked perfectly for me, as it suggested these lights that were metal with the glass jar type covers I wanted and at a very good price. They came quickly thanks to Prime and they were easy to install. I have to say, they look great and they are much nicer than the "plastic" alternatives with housings that crack from heat while their plastic bulb covers yellow from heat or the sun. I use LED white bulbs at 11 watts or 12 watts and they are much brighter and nicer looking than the "warm white" yellow looking alternatives. You can't go wrong with these and that's a fact... ... show more
