I liked the look of the product, box came unbroken, shade inside broken, called manufacture because we had already mounted the light and didn't want to return the whole thing. 2 weeks later and 3 phone calls still no shade. as of today 4/8/2021 issue has been resolved the manufacturer, sent the shade, lost in transit, at no cost. Yes, they can be hung pointing up or down (as we did). Note: The plate behind the bar must be hung with a specific side "up" but when you can attach the fixture to that, it can point either direction. We ordered this fixture because we had very limited vertical space but also needed a fixture that didn't look dainty; one with adequate size to look appropriate for our space; a little larger than average bathroom. These are perfect for that. The style is very neutral, too anything. We weren't sure globe bulbs would fit in the globes but they did and that allows us to use a standard (non-LED) globe light bulb that is designed to be visible, with no markings on the top of the bulb. Fixture looks great with lights full on, or dimmed. No, everything was not perfect but I didn't want to spend $300 per fixture to get that. Some edges on the globes are a little rough, etc. but this is a sturdy looking, attractive fixture at a fair price. Buy with confidence. ... show more

I’ve had this installed in a bathroom for about a week and the decorative nuts holding it on are rusted. Installing was a pain because of the cheap plastic retaining rings used to hold the glass and bulbs. Most of all, even with 4 60w bulbs the light is not bright and very yellow. I paid extra compared to other similar bathroom lights hoping to get a higher quality build then design. Installation was easy, mount the bracket to the wall. The included drywall anchors appear to be on the cheap end. The mounting bracket does not fill the whole back end of the light fixture leaving the edges to not sit flush with the wall. In comparison the light fixture I replaced that has a date code of 1989 the mounting plate filled the whole back side and had mounting screws on top along with chains to hold the fixture while working on the wiring.
