The Design House 514554 Millbridge Wall Light contains formed steel, oval alabaster glass, and an oil-rubbed bronze finish. This sconcefoots petite design mounts seamlessly to the wall without a chain or visible wires. This 1-light wall mount is made for 120-volts and uses (1) 60-watt candelabra E12 bulb. Measuring 6inch (H) by 10inch (W), this 1.5-pound fixture can be mounted facing up or down, depending on location and preference. Its clean lines and sleek details add a modern accent to any bathroom ensemble. This product is cETL/ETL certified for use in damp locations. Wall sconce light came well packaged and arrived with no issues. Beautiful oil rubbed bronze finish with white glass bowl. Easy installation just replacing another light that was already there. This light is not on a dimmer in my bathroom so I can not speak to that function. Purchased the E12 60 watt bulb that was recommended and it is plenty bright in my bathroom and works well in the space. I like the style but its bare bones light . It should be called a night light instead of a hall light . It takes a small base light that doesnt put out much usable light . And its kind of goofy the way the lens cover mounts but its over all it still somewhat nice looking

Nice light, but didn't fit intended space

This is a nice light, but it didn't fit our intended space at the bottom of a stair case. The guts of this light were visible when walking down the stairs which made it unacceptable. But otherwise it is a nice light and can't beat the price. At 10 inches It is smaller that other flush mounted moon-shaped lights so would fit a small space. The glass has pretty veining which doesn't show in the product photo. The metal pieces add just the right touch of detail. We didn't install, so can't comment on ease of installation. I purchased two of these and Im very happy with them. They were easy to install, and they look fantastic. They were a little different than I had expected by looking at the picture: for one I was surprised by their size... they were smaller than I had imagined. So be sure to read the measurements before ordering. Also, the glass is a bright alabaster white with a wavy pattern that doesn't really show in the picture. I agree with the other reviewers that they should be packaged better; in my case the two that I ordered both arrived undamaged, but I can see how the fragile glass could have easily broken due to the inadequate padding. ... show more

Nice looking with design flaws

This is a nice looking wall sconce for the price. However, you do get what you pay for on this one. I bought 15 of these, and several had design flaws. The main problem was the attachment bar was to long to install the glass globe with ease. We had to bend the bar tighter ourselves, so the globe could fit. One of the screw holes had the threads reversed, and two were delivered with broken globes. ... show more

Looks great, simple installation

We purchased two of these sconces to flank our bring fireplace. They really dress up the room. It holds a single bulb, so you won't get too much light out of it, but we wanted a dimmer light than what we had anyway. The frosted glass looks nice. Installation was easy. I wish there was a better way to space the light off the wall a bit. It only comes with one nut, so you can't tighten it a certain distance from the box without the shaft rotating in the box. If you make it tight to the wall it can be difficult to remove the glass (which slides out the top) to replace a bulb. We just ended up leaving about a 1/4" gap along the sides and let the bottom touch the wall. There's a little light spilled out the sides, but not bad. ... show more

Disappointing flaw

The sconce looks nice, but I found that the supplied back plate that attaches to the junction box on the wall does not completely cover a standard 4" junction box--about a half inch of the top of the box is open behind the glass. I've installed a lot of lights over the years and never seen one that did not completely cover the junction box. I'd say this is a basic design flaw. You will also need to buy a candelabra bulb to fit in the light's socket--this is not mentioned in the specifications, and those bulbs are somewhat more expensive than standard 60 watt bulbs. I wouldn't have purchased this product had I known the junction box would be partially open at the top of the unit, but don't want to hassle with a return so will try and fabricate something to cover the hole. ... show more
