The install was pretty simple for me to do on my own and it took less than an hour, including the time for measuring placement, etc. My only complaint is about the lamp shade. It's practically the same material as a Dixie cup. It comes wrapped in plastic , but while I was removing it, the tape on the plastic got caught and I had to fuss with it a little bit to get it off. This causes the shade to kind of crumple and dent in a few spots in the same way that a paper cup might. I wasn't rough with it at all, but it still ended up pretty dented. I just put that side facing the wall, but I was pretty disappointed. I'll probably replace the shades at some point. They're also not quite as bright as other ones I have. The photo shows them at their brightest setting. But still very pretty overall. ... show more

We ordered 3 of the light sconces in April and 3 days ago noticed a melting plastic smell. My husband who’s a Master Electrician took them all down and noticed the light socket collars were melting. I sent a message to the manufacturer and never heard back so I called Amazon. They called them and were told they wouldn’t refund our money because the return period had ended. These had only been up for a couple months. Depuley, the manufacturer of these products would not refund our money but Amazon gave us a ‘Courtesy Credit’ as the manufacturer did nothing. I would NEVER buy anything from this company again. This product is unsafe and could have caused a fire. They obviously don’t stand behind their products. ... show more
