The alignment mechanism makes use easy, but for oblong tablets, getting them evenly aligned was not as simple as the normal round tablets. I purchased this because my dog hast to take famotidine 5 mg twice a day. Well famotidine doesn’t come in 5 mg you have to buy 10 so I purchased this it arrived about 30 minutes ago and I was able to successfully cut in half 180 pills in less than 15 minutes. I found that seven in the row is a magic number you can do eight or nine, but you run the risk that the ones on the end or not exactly in half. I put it on my countertop, and then I put my hand over top of it and press down evenly. Don’t use your fingers use the palm of your hand that way the cutting mechanism is cutting evenly across all of them. This cutter is amazing and I found that once you screwed the sides tight against the pills it didn’t move I’m not sure for how long that mechanism will work, but if it lasts a year or two, that’s still fabulous .

Works great on larger sized pills. Smaller ones does the job but not as well. Maybe I need to get the hang of it better. I do like how you can adjust it to hold the pill in place. The tighter you adjust it the more accurate it works

It cuts 1 to several pills at a time. It's a little tricky when cutting several to keep lined up while tightening pills before cutting.

I have to split one of the pills for one of my daily prescriptions. I was using a small plastic single pill splitter but even though I had the pill set in place correctly it would often move or break it into fragments instead of a clean split. I had a lot of pills to split so I decided to look for an alternative. I found this DEPAD multiple cutter and ordered it. You put the pills in and adjust the rails up against the pills then simply lower the lid. The pills were split cleanly down the middle and I was able to do 8 pills at a time. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and how well it worked. It made a task that was going to take a long time into just a few minutes.

I bought this splitter as I needed to cut some pills in half for my cat and I was tired of doing it one at a time with a knife. Overall it works ok, just need to be careful with small pills - make sure to arrange the pills with the line down the middle straight for best chance of nice split. If you just put them in a little crooked it shatters one side of the pill.
