I've had this scope for a few years on my ruger American gen 1 in .308. It's held zero amazingly well over time, it's dependable, and the reticle is a great design (1 moa per dash at 14x). I've taken it out to 1000yards without any problems. Perfect for deer hunting at slightly longer range (I'd feel very comfy taking deer at 300 yards) but it can dial down too and be a decent option for shots at 30-40 yards. My only gripe is the adjustment knobs are a little squishy and not as tactile as something like a hawke or UTG. Those loudly "click" per turn, this one is very quiet and the physical feedback is weaker, but that's a bit nitpicky for a scope I got for $160. ... show more

Great cheap scope. Needed something for a build but didn't have a ton of cash at the time. Glass is clear and bright. Its actually good enough I haven't felt the need to replace it now that I have the money.

I am happy with this purchase and consider the scope a good value. My only complaint is that the "long range MOA" reticle is too busy. It has full size ticks on both the horizontal and vertical crosshairs which obscure the target more than I would prefer. If they were thinner it might be acceptable for a target scope. For hunting purposes, it would be better to only have about half the number of ticks. The image is clear and better than one might expect for any scope in this price range. I also found the parallax adjustment to have pretty reasonable calibration. ie the 100 yard marking is accurate. One thing to mention about this scope and others with side focus / parallax adjustments is that the shooter actually does have to adjust the dial to get a very sharp image. The typical 3-9X hunting scopes without this adjustment is sharp at all ranges, so simpler to use and potentially faster to get on target in a hunting situation. ... show more

Was on the fence about this scope because of how good of a price it was, but pulled the trigger anyways because I had to see if it was too good to be true, needless to say I was taken back by the quality of this scope, best 160 bucks I’ve ever spent on a piece of hunting equipment, very clear glass, I dare say better than Leupold vx freedom line, was able to see on a CLEAR, night up to 55 minutes after sunset, on low power I could still make out objects out too 300 yards, definitely not taking any risky shots but for the price I was very pleased, turrents are very reasonable, not the highest quality, but still tactile and not as mushy as a vortex in this range, mine is mounted on a 204, so it will not be taking a whole lot of abuse as far as recoil goes so I can not speak on the longevity or tolerance of it but only having it a short period of time so we shall see, if it holds up to what I’ve read about it, Burris may have found a new loyal customer ... show more
