Best AR mount available. I bought "Used-- Like New" for $$60. It's the correct height for scope mounting on an AR & it moves the scope forward enough to get proper eye relief. I have 3 of these mounts on different modern sporting rifles! Enough said!

I bought this Scope mount over some of the cheaper ones because I was told that if you want a quality product that this was the way to go so I opted for a more expensive scope mount. It is very sturdy and constructed well and so far has been worth every bit of the money I spent on it. I own a Core 15 GTO AR-16 that came standard with the front sight post I wanted to retain my sights as well as being able to have some type of optic on my rifle how ever the front sight post blocks all optics that are mounted to the rail on the receiver I did not want to spend the money to have to buy quality fold down sights, then a gas block, and then pay someone to install them for me or pay for the gun smithing tools to make a one time modification that would remain permanent for the foreseeable future. After doing some research into my need and talking to a friend of mine who owns this mount and uses it on with his AR I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot, I has some concerns because if you look at how the scope mount lines up on the rifle the scope would be pointing face first into the front sight post, I was assured that this would not be a problem and that the scope would see through the sight post and it would not interfere with the scope picture. This is 100% correct I have no problem with this scope mount and as far as I'm concerned this is the best product on the market, it is more expensive than its counter parts but I can assure you that the product is well worth the money that you spend ... show more

I purchased this mount based on recommendations from magazines and internet sources and the perceived durability from a minimal pieces mount. In this case I put a Weaver T-Series scope into the mount and then mounted it up on an AR-10. It came together very easily and sighted up without problems. I would suggest that one put just a really small dot of lock tight on each of the screws and be absolutely cognizant of torque specifications. I want to see what 100 rounds will do, my rifle is fairly heavy and I believe recoil is managed, but I would think that a lighter weapons with higher energy rounds could be interesting. I would try to find a US made bracket if I bought again; I have had bad luck with Chinese manufacturing (especially metallurgy issues) on many things in the last year. I recently purchased this mount for my AR-15. Here are the pros: 1) It positions the scope just right for height and eye relief. 2) Comes with smooth and Picatinny ring tops. 3) It is sturdy yet the weight is reasonable. Cons: 1) I paid a premium for this "American made" product. I have purchased several sets of rings for assult or military style .22's I own. They work great and are MUCH cheaper than the Burris AR-PEPR. I decided I didn't want to chance anything on my AR-15 (.223 or 5.56 NATO) so I paid the extra just in case. When I went to mount the PEPR the first thing I noticed was the sticker on the bottom that says "made in China." Whatever... 2) The triple screws on each side of each ring look cool, but I question the purpose. The screws do not seem to be the greatest quality and with three they feel a bit "spongy" rather that fitting snug. 3) The nuts that tighten the mount to the rail seem to be an alloy rather than steel. They don't seem to be very sturdy, especially considering the cost. The mount is great. I just think it is overpriced. It looks super cool, but I think the cheaper Chinese mounts I have purchased were every bit as good, and possibly better. At least my AR-15 was American made... ... show more
