I purchased this to provide additional cooling to an upstairs bedroom that runs much warmer in the hot summer months. The pros: The cooling capabiliity and quietness of the unit is great. The installation is fairly easy but you will need 2 people because of the weight, one person needs to hold the unit while the other person makes the fit adjustments. I like that it’s energy star rated. I am hopeful my electric bill will go down significantly because my HVAC will no longer need to run at a lower than usual temperature for hours at night to cool the upstairs bedroom. I’m most excited about that. The cons: The side panels are a bad design and did not fit flush against the side window tracks. You will need to use the weather strip and provided putty to fill quite a few gaps. I am very particular about energy efficiency and bugs getting into my home so I also sealed off any open spaces and gaps with white duct tape. (It’s not very pretty but it does the trick and the window curtains hide the sides). The remote is also a pain because of the extremely tiny screw that needs a special tiny screwdriver to remove. It’s totally unnecessary because the battery cover will secure without the screw. Good luck getting it out and I wouldn’t put it back in. The unit motor makes a few weird noises but according to the manual they are normal and it’s still quiet enough to sleep. The app is pretty good and has a few more features so I would recommend downloading it. I feel this air conditioner will serve the purposes for which it was intended nicely. Despite the few cons, I think it’s worth the money and I’m confident will pay for itself in the long run.

Got this unit on sale and couldnt be happier with the value. I easily installed this in my studio in Hollywood just in time for summer and didn't feel a thing. The fit of the AC was a bit tight but I prefer that to help with insulation. I put it in my kitchen window and it's pretty far removed from my main living space. Usually, this would mean that it's internal thermostat will shut it off before the main living space is the right temperature. However, I linked this AC to my Amazon Echo Dot in my main living space. This means that my dot can control the AC based on its own internal thermostat and have it work more precisely. Also, the AC is incredibly quiet, especially in it's mute mode. All of its out of the box options are clearly legible and easy to use. Phenomenal!

We had to modify our window in order to use this as our windows slide left to right. This unit cools the ambient temperature of the room very quickly and very well. We are able to run it on eco mode with auto fan so it can determine what it needs to do I order to properly cool our room. The room is at least 500sqft in size and in 113* weather this unit is able to cool the room to 70 and maintain that temperature all day. It is also very quiet while running

Here is where I'm at until things are resolved. This unit delivered with damage on the back of the unit which twisted the frame and the plastic grill on the front is broken. Integration with Google Home is terrible. You can only turn the unit On/Off and adjust Fan Speed. Noise level of the inverter compressor is a bit loud at slower speeds. I'm not sure if this is due to the damage of the chassis. Besides that the unit would be very very quiet! Overall size is bigger than I thought it was going to be for an 8,000btu unit. It's sized similar to a 10,000btu unit that is not an inverter. Weight is the same story. Just be aware of that. I do not like the accordion sides they use on this unit. It's 3 plastic pieces that move in and out instead of the typical pleated accordion style you see on any other AC out there. They don't seal the sides as nicely. Cooling ability at the moment is very good. The air is very cold and time will tell. I will adjust my review when the seller makes things right.

I bought this unit specifically because it was advertised as “easy to install” and “compact.” In reality, it was anything but. It weighs nearly 50 lbs and is extremely awkward to handle solo. When I finally managed to lift it into the window, one side would pop out while I tried to secure the other. It simply wouldn’t sit flush, even though my window is well within the listed dimensions. This was an exhausting and frustrating experience. I live alone and expected a straightforward install based on the product description instead, I ended up with a half-installed unit I couldn’t trust to stay in place safely.To make matters worse, returning it is a logistical and financial nightmare. I was told to front the return shipping cost well over $100 and hope to be reimbursed after they receive the package. That’s not a reasonable return policy for something that was misrepresented from the start. Unless you have help on hand and are ready to fight for a refund if things go wrong, I would avoid this product. Amazon shoppers deserve better transparency than this.

Its decent air conditioner - works well. Has a nice remote control as well. But it will lose connection to your Wi-Fi network when nothing has changed. Nothing No power outages. No new devices, etc. Nothing Nothing has changed and it loses connection. And then no matter what you do, no matter how you reset it or try to set up again or throw salt over your shoulder, it will not reconnect. So useless for the control by your phone over Wi-Fi.
