I purchased this unit for my single wide roughly 925 sqft. Based on my math and the general rule for measuring AC size I went with the 24k BTU. I had reservations about how well the heating capacity could keep up but let me tell you, it has absolutely pleasantly surprised me. This thing will roast the room or freeze it out with ease. I live on east texas and have not gotten to test the seasonal extremes yet, but I will update with the results later on. Install is easy if you know anything about hvac systems. For a simple explanation to the uninitiated, the inside wall unit is like a radiator and the outside unit is a pump with another radiator. All you do is connect the two with the supplied piping, wire it up, vacuum the lines and go. Tech note: the service ports are r32 fittings they ARE NOT the same size as r12/r22 service port size. You will need an r32 1/4 to 5/16 SAE adapter. I recommend one with a safety valve. These can be purchased for about 10-15 bucks here on amazon. As far as install goes, make sure to mount the indoor unit ATLEAST 6 inches from the any overhead obstructions that can impede inlet airflow(this includes the ceiling). Be careful bending the lines they can kink very easily. ... show more

Really nice having this Della Mini-Split. This is my first experience with one and I installed it myself. I wanted to put the outside unit 25' away so I also purchased the Dell 25' lineset. What is leaned from the install is to not mount it onto the side of the house as it sou ds like a car idling outside the building. It's a full room away and I only hear it when im in the adjacent room. Also, it seems to make the most noise only at the beginning of a heat or cooling cycle. I'll get use to that as I care more about being warm. We get lots of snow, so I didn't have many choices. The cooling, heating and fan all work very well. I don't know what the night time cycle really does as the manual is vague about it, but the room always seem comfortable in the morning. The loss of a star is really because of of the interaction between the app and the remote, as there is none. So if you set the app to 72°F, and then check the remote, it will take over with what ever the last setting was on it. Sine the Della is connected to the WiFi, it wouldn't take much to communicate to the remote via Bluetooth or WiFi. ... show more
