Purchased Unit: DELLA 28K BTU ODU 20 SEER2, 2 Dual Zone 9000 18000 BTU 208-230V All things considered, this unit is great. The installation is quite straightforward, even though some of the instructions are a little lacking (more on that in a minute). The unit is quiet, efficient, and it works well for heat and for A/C. No leaks were found. I can't speak to long-term reliability since this is a new install, but it seems well made. The remote is just OK. The phone app is great. That said, HERE ARE TWO THINGS YOU MUST KNOW: 1) The bracket that supports the indoor unit is not centered in the unit!! This means if you center the bracket on the wall, the unit WILL NOT BE CENTERED on the wall! How do I know? Don't ask. I'm still a little perturbed about it. I know. It's totally on me for not checking. But really? Why can't they center the d@mn bracket in the unit? Ugh. 2) The instructions don't say anything about opening the main valve. I evacuated the lines, opened/closed the Hi and Lo pressure valves according to the instructions, so that was all fine and well. But the instructions don't ever mention a main valve, much less that it needs to be opened. Again, it's totally on me, and maybe this is obvious to an HVAC technician, but really? That one little gap in the instructions caused me 24 hours of grief that ended with a call to the customer support desk. To their credit, they quickly resolved the issue, but shouldn't that be in the instructions? Lovely unit, and in spite of these two "deficiencies" I give it five stars. Now you know.

Great unit, easy install. You can hire a HVAC company to come pull a vacuum or order a vacuum pump and gages here on Amazon for $100-$150. Unit is precharged and you only have to pull vacuum on the line sets and head units. I've had this unit installed and running for a year now. The heat works great all the way to 6 degrees Fahrenheit out doors. Cooling works great even on 100+ degrees days.the unit is also very efficient as my power bill over all has averaged $40 less each month since install.

This system turned out to be a real lemon on the AC side. Purchased it July 20th, 2024 and paid to have it professionally installed. Within a month started having error codes on both inside units when using AC. Della/Align sent a replacement control panel for outside unit, which we paid to have it installed. Worked ok for rest of the summer 2024, and then used heating portion for fall & winter, which worked fine. Along comes summer 2025 (we live in Texas in a tiny house), and immediately started having issues again with AC giving error codes. Reported problems to Align beginning in June 2025. They sent another outside control panel, which again we paid to have installed and our lines tested. Lines showed full of Freon and no leaks. However we continued having same issues with inside units & error codes. Align sent new control panels for both inside units plus new temp sensors. Paid to have them installed. By this time we are now at the 5th of August (yesterday) and system is still not working correctly and house is HOT! Our AC tech says your system is a dud, need to call seller and have them replace both inside units. Contacted Align, and after much back & forth with their employees (whom were all polite & trying their best) they say their operations team (aka Management) will only authorize them to send us a whole new system at a cost to us of $2108.00. We paid $2183.00 for the system originally in July 2024. They said they have to charge us because it is now out of its one year warranty period (by 15 DAYS!!). Was told that the company’s Operations team cannot do anything better than that. Had we known this system would only last a year, would never have purchased! Seeing more negative reviews posted now too, which weren’t there when we purchased system in 2024. Bottom line…do not waste your time & money on buying this system or do business with a company whose management will not back up what they sell!

Very impressed with this until. It only came with 16' lines. It doesn't come with a condensate pump or have room in unit to place one. I ordered seperate pumps as my install required pumping the water that drains from head unit into attic to then drain out of house via 3/4" pvc line. I also had to run my lines through attic as I placed my head units on interior walls. This unit heat, cools and dehumidifies, very quickly. My home is nearly 2k ft and this 27k unit moderates the Temps with ease. If unit is placed in Central location, it seems to circulate air with ease and even into 3 bedrooms, when I just have unit installed in the hallway. Love it! Wish the instructions were better...yes you need a hvac tech or tool to vacuum lines before releasing refrigerant from condenser unit.

Overall very happy with this unit, It is quiet and works very well however we had one issue on installation. This is not a DIY pre charged lines install unit. You do need some knowledge and a vacuum pump with the correct adapter but that was not the issue. I have installed them before. The last thing you need to do before operation is open a service valve however no where in the instructions does this small detail get mentioned at all. No mention, No picture nothing at all. When I did some research on the initial error after power up I found this mentioned in a comment but still no way to identify the location of the valve. They sent me the correct install pages that are not included in the detailed install instructions included with the shipment. The last thing you need to do is remove the caps and open this port. Then it worked perfect.
