I installed the DELLA Econo Series 23000 BTU mini split in my shop/home space because I needed real cooling and heat without ripping out walls or dealing with big ductwork, and here’s how it actually worked out for me. Right out of the box, the unit feels solid and purposeful — nothing light or flimsy. The 23000 BTU capacity is noticeable in a space up to around 1500 sq. ft.; it pulls heat or humidity down quickly even on hotter days, and in heat pump mode it actually pushes warm air that feels comfortable instead of just lukewarm like some cheaper systems I’ve used before. Installation wasn’t stupid-simple — mini splits always have some work involved — but the included 16.4-ft installation kit makes it a lot easier if you’re doing it yourself. I mounted the indoor head, drilled the hole, ran the lines, and the outdoor unit mounted up cleanly with the bracket. Running the wiring and refrigerant lines takes some patience, but the kit had more than enough length for a typical install. Once up and running, the system is pretty quiet. The indoor unit hums in the background — nothing that interferes with watching TV or working in the space — and the outdoor compressor isn’t obnoxious either. In cooling mode it drops the temp fast and keeps the room stable without constant cycling. I like that it has Wi-Fi control and Alexa compatibility. Being able to check temps or change modes from my phone before I walk in is handy, especially when weather changes midday. The app control isn’t super flashy, but it gets the job done and responds quickly. The heat pump works well down into chilly temps — not like a dedicated furnace, but good for late fall and early spring when I just need a little boost instead of running a space heater all night. A couple things worth noting from my experience: • Getting the lines and electrical right means paying attention to detail — this isn’t a plug-and-play window unit. • If your wall is thick or your install location is tight, you might end up trimming the install kit ends a bit, but the length was generous for my application. Overall, for the price and performance, this DELLA 23000 BTU mini split has been a solid upgrade. It cools big spaces efficiently, heats comfortably, and the smart controls add real convenience without being gimmicky. If you’re ready for a DIY install or have someone who knows what they’re doing, it’s been dependable and worth it for me.

Installed today. I'm a dyi person with a lot of years of refrigeration experience. Unit seems to be of good quality, outside condenser very quiet. I am running on turbo mode inside to pull temperature down but im sure it will be quiet on other modes. line set was nice and fittings mated well, vacum pumped it down and held very well. the only negative thing i would say is the line coming off the unit will flatten quickly when bending so just take you time and bend it a little at a time. Unit seems to be doing a great job. installation and instructions were clear, not like the last one i installed 2 months ago that was an aciq brand from hvac direct. instructions were not clear, ( luckily i have knowledge in electrical and figured it out), compressor was getting loud and not keeping up cooling. After arguing with customer service for a week and initiating all conversations, they finally agreed to give me 70% of my money back. I will try to update this review later. I dont anticipate any trouble.

I installed this unit myself. It was easy to install and works great. I replaced a gas heater that was over twenty years old. I did have the electrical shut off box installed by a professional electrician. I plan to add a similar unit in my garage this summer.

Complex installation. The instructions are clear, but brief. I had to buy a vacuum manifold, a micron gauge, a refrigerant scale, and a bottle of refrigerant. Still, I saved a lot of money. It took me several weeks to install. I had to add 25 ft of tubing. The unit is used to cool my office, which runs hot because I have three computers running all the time. Because of this I bought the 22,000 BTU version to ensure enough cooling. The hardest part was dealing with mounting 41 ft of tubing on the 9 ft basement ceiling. I bought a platform ladder, which made me feel more secure. I am 83 years old and have a bad knee, so this turned out to be a good investment. I finished the installation on the last day of summer! The unit is quiet and works well. My office will need air conditioning until the end of November. For a couple of months I will need to run it in heat mode. My 400 sq ft office is in a corner of my basement that has no outside windows because of a wrap around porch. Because of the weight of the inside unit and the outside unit, I had to get help from my teenage grandson with the lifting. I like the sweeping motion of the horizontal and vertical deflectors. The controller is easy to use. It also works well with the wifi app. This would have been an easy installation if I was younger.

We mainly bought this for backup heat in the winter time we live in north west pa but used the AC a bit in the summer and it cooled down the place very well but wanted to wait untill it cooled down to do a review. It's been colder where I live for a few weeks now and it's been working great the fan is so quiet you don't even realize it's on, the variable speed setting is a nice feature with the multi direction osculation spreads the air out nicely, installation was easy my only complaint was no template to mark the hole and mounting location had to transfer measurements from the bracket to the wall and that took alot longer than it should of. I mean for the extra couple cents be easy to print out a template and throw it in the box to make installation easier on people I see alot of comments on here about this and it does make it frustrating.
