This is my second set of mini-splits in a barndominium I've lived in since 2010. Although I'd never heard of the brand, I read positive reviews and purchased a dual unit this spring and had a local HVAC company install them. They've worked great for a few months until an E4 error occured which indicated low pressure. The installer came back and found a loose fitting he missed. The best thing about these are the people at Della. I can't tell you how responsive and dedicated they are to customer service which is unfortunatley rare these days. Thought I was getting an excellent price for the unit. After installing, have 3 error codes and the units will not heat. Have called Della 3 times first was hung up on after explaining to the customer service rep that I couldn't find a single HVAC technician in CT who was willing to work on it (had 3 cancellations after they found out the brand), call number 2, husband was told someone would email him a list of technicians in the area-that was 3 days ago, called again, was told a technician would call me back, nothing. We are pretty polite and patient on the phone. Do not buy Della products as there is zero support or help if anything goes wrong. The units we have are lovely, quiet, and not functional. So now I have lovely white vinyl wall art until I figure out how to return them. ... show more

Was a little leary about buying a mini split. This unit is awesome. The one key to making sure that you will get years out of the unit? Im a residential remodeling contractor, this dual unit is both economical and effective. If your looking to purchase for yourself the split unit design works well with mobile homes and small spaces. With some pre-planning and the right tools you can get this done in a day. Things you will need: Hole saw Drill Screws Level Mounting bracket or ground pad AC disconnect (check your local code) Conduit (check code) Appropriate wire (ie... 12/2, 14/2 etc) Vacuum pump Hvac manifold If you have little experience, I would definitely consult with a professional on doing this installation. After installing I put it through the tests using a handheld infrared thermometer. Ensuring the unit is switching from cool to warm air. I have installed multiple units so far and no issues. The instructions provided are decent, but as usual there are little things not covered that an experienced pro will know to do. Like adapters fir the line sizes provided etc. All in all a good unit. This is a dual zone mini split. When vacuuming, there is not a master port. And the “A” and “B” lines are isolated from each other, so you can vacuum one line at a time. I found this out because I had two vacuums hooked up, one to each line, and after verifying the vacuum was holding successfully, allowed a small amount of refrigerant into the “B” line and only the gauge on “B” line instantly went to positive pressure… the “A” line was still holding the vacuum. The condenser oem packaging doesn't protect the sides, so when UPS dropped the package out the truck on its side from 3’ high it suffered several dents, but thankfully still ended up working perfectly. ... show more
