Purchased as a gift for student. Apparently battery and motherboard are defective and need replaced. Who wants a computer that is supposed to be brand new that needs repairs straight out of the box? Frustrating

I love my new Dell XPS 15, its fast and light. The draw back is that it did not come with a DVD drive, so I purchased an external one and also does has two ports to plug your mouse and key board and has no VGA port to connect a second monitor so to remedy that I bought the Dell docking station which works great and has ample ports. Bought this higher end pc 11 months ago, now, the power port is loose, call dell customer service, they said I might have to pay for it, after some discussion, they agree to take it.... this is not the dell I know for years, Concern on the quality of the product and the level of customer support... not shipped back yet... will update after get it back from dell. ... show more

Bought this laptop as an upgrade from my old Samsung. BIG mistake. This thing will NOT play videos or connect with YouTube. For this price one would expect a much better product. Disappointing Dell!
