  • Super quality laptop at affordable price
I wanted a good quality video editing laptop at affordable prices, I stumbled upon this laptop around 500$ and wanted to give it a try , it worked flawlessly so far and the display is awesome, graphics card was able to run the latest adobe premier pro and light room without any issues. Only needed little display color correction due to high reds but that was fine. Sound quality was good as it is a top of the line xps laptop but older version. Happy with the purchase, hope the laptop continues working fine in future as well without any issues. ... show more

  • Dysfunctional Battery / After a week of no response, I returned it
The media could not be loaded. (May 16, 2024) I recently purchased the (Renewed) Dell XPS 9570 Laptop from the 2ndBazaar company and I'm happy to say that the laptop was delivered in great condition! However, there is one serious issue I've come to realize when setting up my new laptop. Whenever I unplug the charger (even at 100% charge) the laptop shuts off within about 10 seconds and won't turn back on. So far I'm not too upset, as I've reached out to customer support and waiting for their response. In the meantime though, this laptop is unusable for on-the-go work. ----------------------------- (June 4, 2024) Update: after a week of no response from customer support, I returned my laptop and asked for a full refund (which I got thankfully.) I was greatly disappointed because that laptop would have felt so great without that dysfunctional battery! I was tempted to try to replace that battery, but I was worried it would nullify my return if it didn't work. Regardless, I finally updated this review and stated that I was unhappy with the experience, hope the rest of you have a better experience! ... show more

  • Excellent laptop for an excellent price
Got this as a gift for my fiancé. He loves it, and it came in great condition from the seller. Gets to play his games in ultra-high graphics w/o the laptop getting hot or noisy. No problems with battery, first time starting it up, sound, display, etc. His and I’s last two laptops were junky Lenovo’s. While Lenovo’s run great for a time, the hardware falls apart. Much happier after switching to dell, can def tell this laptop is much sturdier. Can’t wait until I can get an xps 15 of my own. ... show more

  • Great performance but terrible speakers
This is a great computer and I'm really sad to be returning it but it's not worth it at this point. The performance is excellent but the sound pops and crackles - apparently this is a known issue with this model and there's no fix in place. Also the mic and the speaker's don't sync up well so you can't really use the internal mic for conference calls. I'm returning to get the new XPS13. Also the renewed computer was in good shape but the battery is not close to what's advertised from a new model ... show more

  • A Computer for a Software Engineer
This is a detailed explanation of my entire setup process. I am a software engineer and I bought this laptop for the ability to upgrade the Hard Drive and Memory for fast application development. [Renewed = Reburbished = Older Product, not actually Refurbished] I did not buy any of the Amazon long-term warranties because I will likely troubleshoot the system myself just like I do at my current company. The Process: Before turning on the computer I plugged in the power and left the system on charge for about 30 minutes. When I first turned on the computer only the Dell logo displayed on the screen and nothing else. I then turned the computer off by holding down the power button and then I turned it back on while holding F12. This appeared to have resolved the issue. I was then taken through the Windows 10 setup process for new users. [Note: I only setup a local user, not a Microsoft account.] After the setup I went through the system and uninstalled the programs I didn’t need. These included the Office Trial, McAfee Trial, and any other useless products that I didn’t need for development. I then restarted my system so the uninstalls would be cleared. [The first part is why this gets a 4-star and not a 5-star. If I weren't tech savvy I would have thought the computer was broken. ] Since I prefer to be connected to an Ethernet/RJ45 cable to ensure a stable internet connection, I made sure to buy a USB-C adapter with Ethernet/RJ45 port. If anyone is interested, I got the “USB C Hub, UtechSmart 6 In 1” and it works for me. Next, I installed the Chocolatey Package Manager. I use this tool to install 90% of my applications. I then used Chocolatey to install Git, VSCodium (the open-source version of VSCode), Firefox, Cmder, and VirtualBox. Using Firefox, I proceeded to the Dell website to check if there were any updated drivers for this system. There were about 5 to 6 and two included custom drivers for Nvidia, meaning you should use the Nvidia drivers provided by Dell instead of going to Nvidia’s website directly. I installed all driver updates except for the BIOS update because there was an odd notification concerning something called BitLocker, so I ignored it for the time being. I installed Vagrant. Then I connected a Microsoft account and installed Office 365 Pro Plus. Yeah, it’s a bit redundant but I don’t like pre-installed applications, excluding system tools. I then installed a copy of BitDefender Total Security 30-day Free Trial. I usually use Malwarebytes but BitDefender has a lot of good responses and I figure I’d try it out. After installation, I restarted and then I ran a system-wide scan. All Good! After the scan, it was time to try the BIOS update again. The warning showed again, saying “Bit Defender was running, and I needed to wait.” Instead of waiting, I did a search for the Control Panel. In the Control Panel, I selected System and Security and then I selected Security (BitLocker Drive Encryption). It said something like Security only before I later ran updates. I turned off BitLocker and I attempted the BIOS update again. This time it said I could proceed, so I did. Make sure you are connected to your power cable when updating the BIOS. You do not want it to freeze in the middle of the process and possibly brick your system. After the BIOS update, which can take about 10 – 20 minutes you are more than welcome to re-enable BitLocker. [Note: In most cases, BitLocker prefers a Microsoft account connected to save the private-key] With the BIOS updated, I continued with the system configuration by purchasing an upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for $99.00 [This is not required unless you plan to use the system for business]. You will need a Free Microsoft Account to purchase the upgrade. [When I upgraded, I chose “Only for this app”] I ran a Benchmark Test for Final Fantasy XIV (14) Online to test the quality and it was excellent. The next day, however, I ran into an unknown system error and the OS blue-screened. I began to hesitate about the system and then I ran backend diagnostics on startup and it said there was no fault. It gave me 86880 Validation Code. Additionally, I heard a squealing noise coming from the right-size of the keyboard. Noise is still unknown. - I ran the benchmark the following day twice and it all seemed fine. I am going to continue testing the system to see if any other troubles arise. At this point, the system is technically ready but I still have a few more improvements to make on the system. 1st) I plan to upgrade the memory to 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DD4 RAM, 2nd) I will clone my system and swap the hard drive with a Samsung 970 Pro SSD 512GB to drastically improve read and write speeds, and 3rd) run a Benchmark test on the system for different processes. ... show more

  • Product seemed like new, runs well
This product arrived well packaged, no noticeable damages or show of wear, and functions well. It does seem a little slow at start up for an SSD, that is my only complaint. I have been using the product for eight hours and have flipped between excel, visual studio, Microsoft access, and TestOut labsims, and so far no thermal throttling or a noticeably hot processor. I know I can probably heat the device up if I ran games through it though, which I don't intend to. ... show more
