I bought this XPS 15 laptop to replace my 2011 XPS Studio desktop... that still works fine but I needed something portable. So far I'm very impressed with the speed and quality. I edit lots of videos and this baby screams through my workload. I highly recommend this laptop. The only slight negative for me is the battery life. Editing videos on battery power only lasts 2-3 hours. However, I rarely edit unplugged so it's not a big deal. Normal use will get you 8 or 9 hours of battery. ... show more

Could not find this laptop online anywhere else for at least $500+ more, was a great deal for the specs. some light scratch on the exterior for a “used-good” conditioned laptop, interior/keyboard/screen all in perfect condition which is the only relevant part to me if the components work

This was a refurbished laptop as confirmed by Dell. It arrived right out of the box with defective memory and OS. It would enter a repeating cycle of boot errors, and restarts before freezing up. Dell support was awesome and diagnosed the issue (also confirming it was refurbished even though not sold as such) but instead of waiting for a tech to come and install new components we opted to ship it back and purchased another directly from Dell ... show more

I bought this laptop to replace my older Dell. I expected this version to be much faster than my 5yr old model, but that turns out not to be the case. While I understand the newer operating system is going to labor operations, I was shocked that this supposedly much faster chip, operates much slower than my 5yr old Dell. I had issues with installation of the programs and couldn’t get a bar to come up. The company that made the computer was very responsive and helpful and made sure my computer was working properly. I would recommend them and this computer for that reason.
